I thought I'd see if anyone else on here collects inert ordnance.  There are some ordnance guys who hang out in the DD forum but I figured I'd check and see if anyone in GD collected this stuff as well.  I know the rules about pics so here are some of my collection:

Here is an group photo of part of the bazookas/rocket launchers/missile tubes.  From bottom to top: RPG-75 trainer, M72A7 LAW, SMAW rocket tube, AT-4, TOW missile tube, M65 3.5 inch Superbazooka

Individual picture of the RPG-75 from the group photo

Pictures of the M72A7 LAW from the group photo

Close up pictures of the M65 Superbazooka's scope and its reticle

These are two are are not in the group photo.  The top one is an RPG-18 and the bottom one is a M72A2 LAW with a M190 removable subcaliber training rocket adaptor.

More of the RPG-18

More of the M72A2 with the M190 removable subcaliber training rocket adaptor

Here is another one not in the group photo.  Its a M72A9 ASM LAW

Group photo of projectiles.  The item on the far left is a M7A1 2.36 inch bazooka practice rocket.
Bottom from L to R: 75mm or 76mm AP-T projectile from WW2, 37mm sectioned cartridge, 37mm AP projectile from M3 anti-tank gun, unknown chromed 37mm projectile, 37mm projectile from a German Flak 18 anti-aircraft gun.
Top from L to R:  30mm PGU-16/A dummy cartridge for the A10 Warthog's gun, 30mm PGU-15/B  dummy cartridge for the A10 Warthog's gun, 30mm dummy cartridge, 25mm dummy cartridge for the bradley's 25mm gun, 20mm dummy cartridge, 40mm Mk19 inert dummy round, 40mm Hellhound Thermobaric HE/HEDP inert round, 40mm Draco Thermobaric HE/HEDP inert round

Here is a 40mm Bofors round, a 30mm round different case from the ones in the first photo(used in the failed competitor of the A10 Warthog's gun), and a 20mm vulcan round to show the comparative size.

Stuff on the way:
120mm APFSDS-T Anti-Tank sabot projectile

Big thanks to all the people on here and on other sites who have helped me so far by selling me things for my collection!

Cool collection  How much do those sorts of things cost, if you don't mind?

Only things I have that would qualify for that area are a couple dummy 30mm gatling gun rounds and an empty Flak 38 case.

It really varies.  I'd be happy to PM you what I paid for particular items but overall the rocket launchers/missile tubes/bazookas ranged from $40 shipped to $330 shipped and the projectiles/cartridges ranged from $7 to $120.  I'm always looking for more stuff so if you ever want to sell those things, PM me.

So do I but they are a restricted item so almost any AT4 9mm trainer out there is stolen.  I do have some of the special 9mm tracer rounds they shoot though(thanks to a member on here).  The class 3 gunshop that FPSRUSSIA gets his stuff from had a youtube video clip of an operational AT4 9mm trainer so I guess there are some out there.

You can still find(if you look hard enough) live 35mm training rockets for the M190 subcaliber kit on my M72A2 LAW so one of these days I'll have to buy one and shoot it.

Will do.  I don't know that I'd ever necessarily get into collecting that sort of thing, but a large launching device would look cool in the man room

I would guess the people who make the real ones, Saab Bofors Dynamics.  The 9mm trainers are just a normal At4 empty tube with a different firing mechanism, different rear piece(that houses the breech in the trainer), and a barrel mounted inside the tube.

There is a online store that currently has a penetrator similar to mine but without the sabot for $60.  Another site sells different types of sabots for these penetrators for $10-50.  If you want a complete one, the site that sells the sabots also sells complete sets like mine.  I got mine through gunbroker though, not these other sites.

I found an Israeli MK14 training rifle grenade for my Israeli FAL at Knob Creek a few weeks ago. No pics yet of the grenade, as I'm planning on giving it a custom paint job. I've already painted it OD green, but I'm going to also paint a yellow "Have a Nice Day" smilie-face on the nose of the inert warhead. I took it to a gun show in Knoxville last weekend, and in order to make it easier for East Tennesseans to identify, I painted "Rifel Gernaid" on the side.

Pics of the launcher and rifle it's mounted to:

I credit you with the change. That and when I was sanding off the old paint it had three layers. Most recently brown/yellow, then blue/blue, and originally brown/yellow.

There are some M72 LAW tubes for sale right now in the arfcom EE(not by me, just noticed them recently).  Gunbroker often has a bunch of stuff but its best to watch it for awhile to get an idea as to what the prices on things are before you buy so that you don't overpay.  European auction sites and militaria dealers often have the best prices on non-USA items and some of that stuff can only really be found from them.  Ebay has stuff come up sometimes as well.

When I was a kid in the 60's, all the neighborhood kids had M72 tubes, we used them as bazookas when playing army. I had one, but it got way laid over the years. Back then, they were just useless trash out at Ft. Jackson, and you could go out to the post dump (by car if your parent was military, or sneak in through the woods, it was not far from housing areas on the outskirts of the post) and just pick them up by the armload. Then sometime in the early 70's they decided this was not a good thing, so the fort started burying them immediately. There are probably tens of thousands buried out there, along with lots of rumored other cool USGI stuff.

EDIT to add: IN CASE ANYONE KNOWS WHERE I  COULD LOOK TO BUY ONE,  I am looking for INERT 84mm Carl Gustav practice rounds or even fired cases, BTW.  ( I do try to follow the COC).

The best photo gallery / forum I've found on the web for INERT ordnance is:  Inert Ordnance Collectors Forum in the U.K. Link:

http://www.bocn.co.uk/vbforum/

Apparently collecting such things is a really popular hobby over there.  That forum has some great photo galleries and apparently some very knowledgible collectors and EOD techs as members.

OP: Nice  sub-calibered LAW!  You really need to seek out some training rockets for that & post a video here.

Does anyone have the link to the episode of "American Guns" where they bought one of those, then fired it in the direction of a car rigged with Tannerite?  (seemed to be a trick shot & not really what that subcal actually does).  Still very cool to see.

The 120mm M865 looks like the older APCSDS-T (Armor Piercing Cone Stabilized Discarding Sabot).  The new M865IP rounds are still cone stabilized, but lack the holes.

Why "cone stabilized", you ask?  The cone slows down the projectile and reduces range past typical training gunnery ranges.  AFAIK, the only KE rds that are FS are service sabot (M829 series).  If you can get a hold of one of those, then you are the man.
