Pretty much movie stuff.
The Convict that was is named as Mohammed A. I hope they hunt the fuckers down. "A police source said that the attack was carried out by a team of several individuals who arrived in two vehicles and later fled. One of them was also wounded, a police source said, but it was not immediately clear how many attackers there were in total." https://www.lemonde.fr/en/france/article/2024/05/14/at-least-two-french-prison-officers-killed-in-inmate-s-escape_6671431_7.html Dunno how to post Twitler

I hope the driver didn't slow down or stop to avoid damaging the van he was driving or to avoid hitting another vehicle. He should have known that the chances were minimal that he would live if the hijackers got control.

View Quote It's amazing how people are so conditioned to not make messes or break things that they will try to protect property and prevent damage, even when their life is in immediate danger. I've seen videos where people should've started shooting back immediately through a window, but instead wasted time rolling it down or opening the door first. I guess it goes back to getting in trouble for breaking things as a kid. |

Looks like an AR pattern rifle with the buffer tube and M4 stock. The sight looks like a C-More type mounted to the picatinny upper receiver. The mag is M16 shaped.

I'm leaning European-production, Ar15, SBR/pistol variant with shitty Chinese red dot carried by a Muslim terrorist. |

I don't think it's a 5.56 magazine. Look at the shape and length.

The GIGN have the Bren 806 but somehow I doubt they orchestrated this since the guards died.
My first thought was something like a Keltec PLR-16 with a 40-round magazine. As blurry as it is, any short-barreled railed AR-pattern would fit. I would think it would be something somewhat inexpensive if it isn't a state-sponsored show. I can't imagine what an MCX goes for on the European black market. How many Mk18s did we leave behind in AFG? |

They were complicit in hiding Bin Laden since 2001 so anything is possible there. |

Not so much state sponsored, but second and third world countries aren't always the best with sensitive item inventory. Shit, look how much gear we left behind in AFG. France let lots of people in from places that were colonies years ago. Many if not most of them did not want to assimilate. They taught their kids and grandkids not to assimilate. Then they brought in the recent invaders and well maybe the Olympics will be exciting this year.
