I posted on craigslist group rides from anywhere in town to drop off, was 350 bucks. I made bank those three days when i lived there.
I used the back access of Nellis since I could get on and off. Turned a two hour wait into 15 mins. |

If you want, drop me an IM and I'll send you the details. Actually, that last bit goes for anyone either attending or working the event in some capacity (chicken tender artiste, bicycle cop, whatever). Negative. I was in Vegas last August and man, that city is a lot to take in. I'm glad I got to experience it, but for me, it was like a giant anxiety-fest.
I'm a small town kid, I grew up in rural Georgia, in a town of about 1000 people. Vegas is sheer sensory overload for an old country bumpkin like me. |

Aside from that, the main thing is where you stay: either in Las Vegas, and then you have to buy shuttle passes (don't depend on Uber/Lyft), or you pay for Camp EDC, which lets you check in early Thursday morning and check out Monday afternoon. I pay for camp, and this year Eric Prydz is playing the camp opening party on Thursday night. (EDC itself is Friday through Sunday nights.) View Quote Kandi refers to inexpensive little bracelets and trinkets people give to each other commonly made out of plastic beads. Here's an article. It's not a drug reference. Goofy, maybe, and not everybody does it, but it's definitely a thing. I've had people video the exchange when I give someone one. "OMG my first piece of kandi!" kind of thing. Awesome, have a great time. I started liking EDM back in high school (1995) - first song I recall was a cassette tape single of Haddaway - What is love. Bought it at Sam Goody's at the mall, still have the Jeep I drove to the mall that day and listened to the tape in the parking lot. Seems like yesterday.
Went to Ultra Miami about 10 years back - all these folks talking about drugs/wierdos/etc, my experience wasn't like that at all. Most of the people were just enjoying listening to the music, and yes there were a lot of younger, scantily clad ladies, who were all chill and it was well worth the money. I'm sure there were drugs but I didn't see any of them. This year I watched the livestream and looked about the same. |
