Tried to do it myself, but, am so lost.
I watched a bunch of videos, read tons of articles, more confused than before!
I bought an SKS from a local auction.
Serial number on top and magazine (I guess that's what it is called) is 3530 with what looks like an L that is crossed like a capitol T at the beginning L3530
the trigger guard has the same character then, 6908
can anyone help identify what I got?

The pics are not very good, but it looks like a Sino-Russian. I’m assuming it is import marked somewhere, probably very lightly, and will say it’s from China.

Can't find any other markings. The pics take a few seconds to load. They are fuzzy at first then clear up.
Would other pics help? Is it strange to have such a low serial number and no other markings?
Thanks.

Field strip it, get some good lighting and I bet you’ll find Russian proof marks under the wood line on the barrel and receiver. Century brought some in and faintly marked them under the barrel above the bayonet. I have a stamped receiver BWest imported that is lightly marked you have to hold it just right to see it.
