Right-click on pic and "open in new tab" to enlarge.

From the top:

601 (still need a dimpled rear takedown pin and working on some replica Green Zinc Phosphate furniture)
604/USAF "M16" (but had to use an XM16E1 receiver)
M16A1
M16A2 w/M203 (has thin profile barrel, might move it back to an A2 barrel)
M16A2 (might swap it to an M16A4 model)
607/GX-5857
629/XM177E2 (I'm keeping the bayo lug!)
610/XM177
727
733 (the *better* gun from "Heat")
M4A1

AR-180 on the side

That is a nice collection. I hope to have that many one day. So what is next? I know you are not stopping there.

Haha...  well, with retro AR's, that may be the stopping point for me outside of getting wealthy and replacing my replicas with real ones.  The other models are either too similar to the ones I have, or really oddball ones that I am not interested in like the 605, 606, or the 9mm ones like the DOE one.  Those just aren't super-interesting to me.  I did miss the boat on the Brownell's prototype AR15 build with the cocking handle in the carry handle - and I'd probably buy one of those if it came up for a good deal.  But the thing about AR's is that I like building them.  They are the LEGO's of the rifle world.  AR's are what drew me towards my interest in guns...  I was fascinated around the engineering of them.

Not interested in a 605?

Tell me you have never handled a 605 without telling me you’ve never handled a 605

It’s actually one of my favorite retro configurations

there needs to be a crisis hotline where cloners like me can call in when our build parts lists get too deep. im not getting any sleep over here.
