The MFJ hamstick dipole mount. Should you use a non conducting mast?
It seems to me that if I use something conducting that adds to one side of the dipole. Or does it matter at all? |

Yagis are just dipoles with a reflector and director(s).

It should be fine with either mast but the tuning may
be a bit different if you tune it on a steel (conductive) mast then move it to a non-conductive mast. |

The mast would share current with the coaxial cable shield based on their relative lengths. If the mast was close to a 1/4 wavelength then it would have some current on it.
