For anyone with a apc9sd, to remove their port nut is it counter clockwise to remove the nut?

I've watched some videos and it looks like it's counter clockwise and they remove the nut with just a vise grip. I'm having issues and can't get it off and bt support said they don't use any rockset or anything but I've seen reddit posts saying they do.

had to get long 15 in breaker bar and a claw foot socket and soak in balistol overnight
