When giving the safety briefing to my charter passengers I ask them to kindly keep the pins in their hand grenades and to keep their pistols holstered until after landing. Unless we happen to be landing in Boston. Then I warn them that at Signature Boston they have private TSA and a metal detector. I’ve had to FedEx a pistol home to myself from BOS. |

And that’s a good school. There are a lot of airline guys on this board. I’ve been flying more than 30 years but the timing was never right to do the airline thing. I was an instructor then night cargo then corporate and private and charter ever since. Feel free to message me if I can give him any private jet/corporate jet/ turboprop/night cargo advice. |

Fly to St. George Utah and you can stay in a $35 motel room in Mesquite, NV and enjoy the gambling and night life. You can still smoke a cigarette while eating a steak in Mesquite.

I lived in NJ up until 11 years old. I occasionally have dreams about going back to visit and remembering I have my EDC in my pocket and am worried about getting caught.

Bringing a firearm into NJ is the absolute last think I would do.
I went to Atlantic City in 1992 and it was the most disgusting place I have ever seen and remember I live 40 miles from the cess pool New Orleans. I would rather sleep in a Bourbon Street gutter than go to Atlantic City |

We're going overseas soon and the return flight goes into Jersey. I don't even want to get off the plane. YUCK.

Native NJ'ian here. Welcome to NJ!
The Sopranos - Rusty Irish -Dont bring your gun to NJ. There is all kinds of bullshit around transport, storage, magazines and hollow points. They dont recognize concealed carry and permits from other states. And whatever you do, make absolutely 1000% sure there is no loose ammunition anywhere and that includes your luggage. Anything goes wrong you can get fubar'd. Why risk it? -Pepper spray and mace have a size limitation. I dont remember exactly what it is, but its very small - like an ounce or some nonsense. -All kinds of hand held weapons are illegal - brass knuckles, blackjacks, big ass knives unless they have legitimate use, etc... -Atlantic City is a slum. The casinos themselves are ok but thats it. You go a block off the casino its a shithole. -Casino is a casino. I dont gamble and if you want the swankiest casinos go to Vegas. -The beaches in NJ are ok but they arent Florida beaches by any means. The flesh on the beaches can be good but that applies to anywhere in the US where this is water. I would be lying if I didnt admit the women in Miami and around San Diego/LA are way hotter than anywhere else in the country. The Sopranos - Tennis Match -As for the whole Nooo Joisey thing, nobody I know speaks like that and anyone who refers to New Jersey as Jersey is from NYC (no offense to NY'ers in general). We pick up in a second that anyone who says that shit is a jerk off from out of state (no offense to jerk offs from out of state :) intended). The Sopranos: Trouble With A Jewish Son-In-Law |

I think I'd rather jump off a bridge and hope to catch my eyelid on a rusty nail on the way down than go to NJ.

Yep, but the only ones really worth visiting are on the panhandle. #30A. 😉 Arfcom has long been the bastion of the "that place sucks" crowd. I've visited way more of the country than most people, and it is an amazing place. The politics don't have to define everything. New Jersey is one of those places. There's far more of NJ that I love than hate. If you judge it by movies and visiting Newark Airport, you're just fucked. |
