I owned quite a few fast cars when I was a bit younger. All setup for street racing as well as autocrossing. Oddly enough as I got older (near 50 now) I decided I didn't want speeding tickets, racing on the highway tickets, or to lose my license. It was pretty easy to ween myself off of cars and instead get involved with PC racing sims instead. Now I spend far less money doing dumb things in the virtual world I could never afford or would probably kill myself doing in reality.
If i owned a real c8 I'd straight up be going to jail or the morgue. Too much temptation for the old ways. |

Go drive a DB12.

It’s amazing the lengths people will go to in order to justify why handicapping a new car with a manual transmission is somehow a good idea.

If I had the money, I wouldn’t pay that much for something made in the US. But I don’t have the money.
Interior is designed around obesity epidemic and trunk is too big. I don’t golf. Don’t fet me wrong, if it was in my driveway, I’d be happy. |

Sad that we consider 3600lbs as “very light weight”
Mine is over 1000lbs lighter but it is only a turbo 4 Attached File But was also half the price I’m not a Vette guy either but do think they did a good job with the new one. |

If it's your toy, make it enjoyable. |

Just the standard C8 with the LT2 6.2 liter is fast, the Z-06 is a supercar and easily worth 150K.
I have 5,000 miles on my 2023 C8 and it is a very fast and powerful car. I cannot imagine what the Z-06 is like. |

Ah meh, blah. …. I like the lines but the cost/rwhp ratio is outta whack.
At one time you could get an 800+HP Demon Challenger for $85K. Ride-wise, the Demon would be much more comfortable than the Z06, due it to being much heavier at 4400+lbs (like Hellcats). Plus that weight also makes it more controllable at the really high “stock car” speeds these cars are capable of. |
