Has anyone cut down one of the newer non m4 acr barrels? I’m picking one up, 1/7 twist, what I would say is a skinny barrel. And I want it cut to 12.5”, I’m currently running a 12.5 chopped m4 acr barrel.
Just curious if there would be any issues with having it done, other than possibly opening the gas port of course. Obligatory acr pic Attached File |

So what needs to happen to a plain stock 16" ACR bbl to be cut to 10.5"?
Probably covered somewhere but I evidently am weak in my search skills....thanks for any guidance or help. Maybe a recommendation of a company? I have a guy that says "yeah we can do it, I dont think it would be a problem" and that made me a lil leery. |

View Quote probably not possible unless your 16" ACR barrel has a carbine length gas system, the shortest you can go with a mid-length gas system that was on most of the 16" barrels in 12.5". Dana at Templar Precision or ADCO would be the only people id go to for the work! |

I would buy a BA hanson profile and have Dana covert it to use the ACR parts....
He did that for me on an 11.3 BA hanson and I loved it |

Is there any market for an unfired 16" ACR barrel? I have one that Id like to get rid of.

I would imagine that if it was complete with all hardware it would move in the EE section.

I posted a new/old stock factory 10.5" barrel in the EE. Small audience mainly in this group so thought I'd make folks aware. This was from CDNN's GB auctions...they seem to be creeping up over time on actual finishes.
