"The husband of the home told them that a man had "used a ruse to gain entry" to the home based on his wife's job as a notary. Once the man was inside the house, he took out a gun and shot the man's wife in the face. After seeing his wife be shot, the man armed himself with what is being described as a seven-inch garden knife and stabbed the man to death."

“Once armed with the knife, he went to work on Mr. Lindsey Glenn,” said Sheriff Paul Blackman at a media briefing. "Ultimately, the suspect, Lindsey Glenn, was cut to pieces and was very much deceased by the time deputies could get to him."

The man's wife was transported to a trauma center, where she was treated and remains in stable condition. The husband was treated for his injuries at a hospital and released.

Hope she survives with no permanent injuries.
I hope her husband has a few small scars as proof of his devotion to his wife.

Blackman said that Glenn had been previously sent to prison at least six times after being convicted of 12 different felonies. The Sheriff's Office said they believe that Glenn might have thought the couple had money at home because of her job as a notary.

Garden knife? Like hori hori? Ouch typically not super sharp since it’s used in dirt.  Good stabby stab. Fafo should hurt

Let’s circle back for a moment to that earlier conversation about if you’ve proven yourself unable to function in society due to chronic criminal behavior, you shouldn’t be in that society.  He should have been executed sometime ago.

Not much on one of those knives to keep your hand from sliding onto the blade during a social situation if you hit a bone while stabbing.  When I was a corrections officer I met an inmate that had that very thing happen to him when he stabbed a guy with a steak knife and hit a rib.  His hand didn't work correctly anymore.

Sirius question …. Can a person, defending themself with a bladed weapon, be charged with an anchor shot, after a perp has assumed the horizontal tap out position?
