YAK Ranching at 10,000 feet in Colorado!

Jessica and her father Bob manage a ranch at the extreme altitude of 10,000 feet in Colorado.  The ranch began as a Lettuce growing operation and now is a working cattle ranch and yak ranch.

One thing is for sure.  The cattle that they raise at https://pbjcattle.com are the tamest cows I have ever been around!

LONG BEACH, Calif. (CNS) -- A tuberculosis outbreak among residents of a single-room occupancy hotel in Long Beach has left one person dead and led to the hospitalizations of nine others, prompting the declaration of a public health emergency, city officials said Thursday.

The city Department of Health and Human Services insists the risk of exposure to the general public is low, with the outbreak restricted to a "distinct population" of people with "significant barriers to care, including homelessness and housing insecurity, mental illness, substance abuse and serious medical comorbidities."

As of April 29, a total of 14 cases have been associated with the outbreak. The city declined to release the name of the hotel at the center of the outbreak, citing patient privacy concerns.

City Health Officer Dr. Anissa Davis declared a local public health emergency in response to the outbreak. The declaration is expected to be ratified by the Long Beach City Council on Tuesday.

Health officials said people who have stayed at the privately operated hotel may have been exposed and will be contacted by the city. Investigators have identified about 170 people who may have been exposed, and they are in the process of being screened, with the number of cases and additional exposures expected to increase.

"Those who are found to have active TB disease or latent TB infection will be provided treatment," according to the city. "The level of attention needed to contain the outbreak is well beyond the scope of the department's day-to-day work. The population of concern requires outreach and engagement, necessitating significant staff time to perform multiple interactions.

"Screening and treating such a large number of people requires many resources. Declaring a public health emergency streamlines the department's ability to quickly secure resources and take additional action to contain the outbreak."

If you, like me, took it for granted that the CIA became corrupt in recent years, then think again.

I have been reading…

“SURPRISE, KILL, VANISH
THE SECRET HISTORY OF
CIA PARAMILITARY ARMIES, OPERATORS, AND ASSASSINS

By ANNIE JACOBSEN

and have come to the conclusion they were always pretty unsavory.  I’m only through Chapter Five, but the early years of the Agency were inept, corrupt, and driven by egos from the very start.  That thousands of good men were sent to their deaths behind enemy lines in North Korea while reporting the opposite to their commanders, that key ranking officers were drunks, mentally ill, and/or lying scum was kept secret from the American people for decades.

It was widely understood the Aldrich Ames affair gave the agency a black eye.  But if the American public knew how many botched operations were in the Agency’s past, they would have two black eyes, no teeth, and a concussion.

At one time, long ago, I thought a career with them might be interesting and patriotic.  I’m glad I found other pursuits.

They’ve already culled millions of chickens.  My concern is this could accelerate the previous numbers greatly and start in with cattle, too.

I stopped by Golden Chick yesterday and they used to have a box of 25 tenders, 6 rolls and gravy but now its 20 tenders, 4 rolls and gravy for roughly the same price.

Inflation is still alive and kicking.  At the rate things are going, chicken tenders could become a delicacy item served only at five-star restaurants.

Sam’s Club now using AI to check receipts at more than 120 stores. Here’s how it works

AI exit technology deployed at more than 120 Sam's Club locations

BENTONVILLE, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — Sam’s Club is now using artificial intelligence and a new camera system to scan customers’ receipts at the door, instead of having employees check them.

The company, which is owned by Walmart, announced on Monday that it has deployed the AI-powered technology at more than 120 Sam’s Club locations nationwide.

The technology was unveiled in January during the Walmart keynote at CES 2024 in Las Vegas.

Todd Garner, the chief product officer for Sam’s Club, said the goal for the new exit archways is to get you in and out of the club quicker.

So, how exactly does it work? After a customer pays for their items at a register or through the Scan & Go mobile app, they can leave the store and the AI-powered system will capture images of their cart at the exit. It will also verify whether all the items in the basket have been paid for.

“When we combine this technology with our Scan & Go shopping experience, it provides a near friction-free shopping experience,” Garner said. “The member can simply walk out, and that’s a big differentiated experience from what we had historically.”

Garner said the new exit experience was added due to club member feedback.

Sam’s Club said that the technology will help customers leave 23% faster.

The company also said it plans to have the technology in all of its clubs by the end of 2024.

Gates Insider Admits Elite Planning to Euthanise BILLIONS via Bird Flu Vaccine

A Gates Foundation insider has revealed America’s food supply will be deliberately infected with bird flu to spark the next pandemic and pave the way for Bill Gates’ next money-spinning vaccine to conquer the global market.

As mainstream media reports on the fear of a mass contagion event this week after bird flu fragments were mysteriously found in grocery store milk, it just so happens that Gates has a lucrative bird flu vaccine entering trials.

And it also just so happens that the Gates Foundation is already working behind the scenes to organize urgent global distribution of the bird flu vaxx.

Inside Russian 'cannibal family's house of horror': Husband and wife 'made human meat pies, killed and ate 30 people, had a human flesh recipe book and served up a human head on a bed of tangerines'

- Dmitry Baksheev and Natalia Baksheeva hid their gruesome crimes for years

Their gruesome acts of murder and cannibalism shocked Russia when they came to light in 2017.

Dmitry Baksheev and Natalia Baksheeva were allegedly butchering dozens of people over a period of 18 years before police finally discovered the cannibalistic lair hidden in their flat - including cut off body parts and photos of their human meat dishes.

Dmitry and Natalia, then aged 35 and 42 respectively, were arrested after road workers found a phone containing images of him holding a severed human hand in southern Russia.

When police searched their flat in Krasnodar, they reportedly found several chopped off body parts, pickled human remains, a dozen slices of skin and recipes as well as 'cannibal videos' outlining how to cook human flesh.

Investigators alleged the couple used dating sites to recruit women to kill and eat, but Dmitry - who was nicknamed the 'Devil = and his wife were only convicted of the murder of a waitress, whose partial remains were found in their fridge and freezer.

No matter who’s really to blame here, wars can absolutely lead to famine, especially depending on geography.

UN accuses Israel of denying Gaza aid access as famine takes hold

NEW YORK, May 5 (Reuters) - A top U.N. official on Sunday accused Israel of continuing to deny the United Nations humanitarian access in the Gaza Strip, where the U.N. food chief warned a "full-blown famine" has taken hold in the north of the enclave of 2.3 million people.

While not a formal famine declaration, World Food Programme Executive Director Cindy McCain said - in an NBC News interview broadcast on Sunday - that based on the "horror" on the ground: "There is famine, full-blown famine, in the north, and it's moving its way south."

Ain’t gonna lie, spy movies are probably still my favorite movie genre.

I think a lot of lies from the CIA stem from war propaganda, at least in the early days.  Then again,  there’s plenty of buzz saying that Patton was assassinated by the OSS or CIA or whatever they were called at the time.

In 2010, I had the very strange concept of feeling empathy for the Left’s dislike for America and the American flag in previous wars as I certainly didn’t like what happened during the Arab Spring.  That was clearly a CIA Color Revolution operation and I was ashamed of my country’s actions at the time.  America was no longer seen as the good guys, at least in my eyes.  I guess that was my wake-up call from nativity.

And now, were seeing the same damn things happening internally against the American people.

Be Prepared For A PLANNED “Giant Emergency”

Canadian Armed Forces & local police are doing a door-to-door ‘wellness check’

“They're basically asking, how are you doing and are you prepared in case of a giant emergency? They are also giving out brochures of everything that you should have in case of an emergency. And to be ready because emergency preparedness starts with you.”

“The exercise, called Trillium Venture, will take place from May 3rd to 5th. And according to the OPP, the Ontario Police Department, press release, the purpose of the exercise is to enhance interoperability with the governmental departments as they work together to respond to a simulated extreme heat scenario.

My first question is, is what is this extreme heat scenario? Are you talking temperatures? Or are we talking about maybe an attack or a simulated attack? Because we all know the World Economic Forum likes to like, you know, predict everything that's going to happen with a lot of accuracy for the future.

But Desi Media went up there and interviewed individual Canadian military force personnel. And one said that this is an annual exercise that they've done almost every year. However, when I looked into it, there was nothing online about a wellness door-to-door check being done by the police and the Canadian Armed Forces.

I even talked to an ex-military personnel who said he's never heard of it either. So now I'm wondering what is going on? Could the Canadian government be preparing us or maybe training us to see military personnel in our small towns as a normal thing for them to come door to door to ask us how we're doing.

You know, in case Justin Trudeau goes full dictatorship on us again like he did in 2020.

But let me just show you this video caught by Dacy Media and then at the end of it, let me know what you think or if you've ever seen this in any of your towns, small towns specifically in the North of the military coming to your door and asking you how you're doing:

Watch the clip and you’ll see actual video proof of a reporter confronting military going door to door. You can see how they’re clearly gaslighting and hiding the truth.

At some point, there is likely to be a kinetic backlash against this kind of overreach. And the people who caused the problem will be the first to receive said backlash and will likely deserve it. Yet, they will not understand how their ridiculous overreach could possibly have caused such a reaction.

It could also be that the Canadian gov is trying to take stock of who's prepared.

Maybe for nefarious reasons.

Canadian Armed Forces & local police are doing a door-to-door ‘wellness check’

It could also be that the Canadian gov is trying to take stock of who's prepared.

Maybe for nefarious reasons.

Exactly.

The way I interpret it, he’s saying this is the end of the British Monarchy caused by a king who never even earned his passage as king.

All of the Monarchies of Europe will end up falling .  The world we know & knew of in the past is about to change as the barbarians are now inside the gates.

Some of the replies to his Substack shed further light on his article, too.

I don’t have a subscription to his Substack, either.  Before Musk bought Twitter, Yon used to post his stuff pretty much exclusively on Locals.  I did subscribe to that but he rarely posts there anymore, only occasionally.

I vaguely remember a few Democrats here in the States wanted to go after people for “hoarding” certain items, including food, during Covid, too.  The Left does seem to give us all a hint of what their ultimate plans are before they actually do it.

Speaking of Substack…

Wildfire - Tuberculosis Detected Nationwide
SAM FADDIS

We reported yesterday on an outbreak of tuberculosis in shelters in San Diego, the epicenter of the border crisis where tens of thousands of illegals have simply been dumped on the street. Long Beach, California has now declared a public health emergency following an outbreak of tuberculosis in a shelter there. Officials report that so far they believe they are dealing with 170 cases of exposure to tuberculosis.

That is likely the tip of the iceberg.

Individuals infected with tuberculosis often do not show symptoms for some period of time afterward. That means the number of people carrying tuberculosis who contracted it in city shelters is almost certainly much higher than so far determined. Where those individuals are at present is unknown.

Keep in mind in pondering that point that the Biden administration has not only brought in millions of individuals from countries where tuberculosis is common but it has then at taxpayer expense flown these individuals all over the country. They have sent them in particular to the largest metropolitan areas in the country where crowding and mass transit systems create the ideal environment for the spread of an airborne disease. The Biden administration has also allowed hundreds of thousands of illegals from all over the world to fly directly into U.S. international airports.

California is not the only place where we are seeing outbreaks of tuberculosis. Las Vegas has found the disease in an elementary school. The disease has also been found in an elementary school in Alaska. Chicago is wrestling with an outbreak of tuberculosis in multiple shelters where illegals are housed.

The appearance of tuberculosis in multiple locations around the country associated with the massive influx of illegals under the Biden administration suggests strongly that we are preparing to pay a severe price for our open borders policy. We have brought in millions of individuals from countries where tuberculosis is common, moved them into our population centers, and conducted no meaningful health screening. What we are seeing now are the first cases we have diagnosed. Many, many more such cases almost certainly already exist but have not yet been detected. Tuberculosis is already spreading like wildfire through the population, and this administration is still pretending the problem does not exist.

It was widely understood the Aldrich Ames affair gave the agency a black eye.  But if the American public knew how many botched operations were in the Agency’s past, they would have two black eyes, no teeth, and a concussion.

Huh.  Reading it as well.

In addition to the corruption and venality, the CIA was most likely riddled with double agents.  As many as 1/3 of the pre-cursor OSS were outright Communists.

Why Fast Food Has Gotten So Expensive

Why Fast Food Has Gotten So Expensive

Prices at limited-service restaurants including Wendy's, Taco Bell, Chick-fil-A and Chipotle have increased more over the past decade than both full-service restaurants and overall inflation, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. Experts say rising labor costs are the main culprit. McDonald's underwhelming first-quarter 2024 earnings results are one example of a fast-food giant feeling the repercussions of its soaring prices. During the years I spent in combat — real combat where people were being blown to pieces around me many times — people would call “cowards” the al Qaeda and Taliban we helped create and who were very courageously fighting us against all perceived odds.  We would blow them to shreds year after year and they kept coming.  Vietnam.

And yet “cowards” would be the last man standing when we left Iraq, Afghanistan, Vietnam.

Hamas is a similar creation.  If you knew as much about war as about making money, you would not say or support these things.  Texas is being destroyed.  You have no free future in Texas.  You are helping destroy Texas.

The Mad Queen is at it again.

https://www.themidwesterner.news/2024/05/here-we-go-again-gretchen-whitmer-admin-issues-emergency-executive-order-over-avian-influenza/

Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s administration has declared an “extraordinary animal health emergency” and imposed “the most comprehensive measures in the country” to combat highly pathogenic avian influenza.

“Producers must immediately implement robust biosecurity practices and create emergency preparedness plans and this order starts to address these on-farm risks,” Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development Director Tim Boring said statement last week.

Those measures include a biosecurity manager for every farm, a secure perimeter around poultry, cleaning and disinfection for people and vehicles, a log of all people and vehicles that enter farms, isolation of lactating cows until 30 days after the last HPAI case, and isolation of poultry “until such a time there are no new cases of HPAI in domestic poultry in the State of Michigan for at least 30 consecutive days.”

Who knows what the data would show now?

High Percentage of Federal Prisoners are Criminal Aliens or Noncitizens

The numbers indicate that noncitizens commit serious crimes at a significantly higher rate than Americans

“Criminal aliens” — those arrested and convicted of crimes while in the US — fill up disproportionately large space in our prisons and jails. That’s according to a government analysis. If anything, the analysis understates the number of incarcerated criminal aliens, since some cities and states do not track or report the numbers for noncitizens.

The statistics fly in the face of persistent claims by illegal immigration advocates who insist that aliens in the US are more law-abiding than Americans and less likely to commit crimes.

Hard evidence comes from a little-reported 2018 analysis by the Government Accountability Office (GAO). One reason why this information wasn’t widely circulated may be because anyone who skimmed the surface would have read a seemingly sugarcoated summary.

The GAO summary highlighted this statistic: From 2011 through 2016, the criminal alien proportion of the total estimated federal inmate population generally decreased, from about 25 percent to 21 percent. “General decrease?” Readers might be left with the impression there’s been improvement, and so there is nothing to be concerned about.

But a fair examination of the report arguably leads to a far different implication.

According to the census, in 2014, about 7 percent of the US population were noncitizens or aliens—many of them illegal immigrants. That’s about one in 14 people. Yet the GAO says that criminal aliens accounted for one in five, and as many as one in four, prison inmates during the time period analyzed. That works out to about triple the number of criminal aliens that there should have been if they committed crime at the same rate as US citizens.
.

.
In terms of cost, federal taxpayers shelled out more than $15 billion during the period studied — or $2.5 billion a year — to keep criminal aliens behind bars in federal, state and local facilities.

Accoring to GAO, 91 percent of federal criminal aliens were citizens of Mexico, Honduras, El Salvador, Dominican Republic, Colombia, or Guatemala.

The five state prison systems that had the most criminal aliens were Arizona, California, Florida, New York, and Texas.

There were more than 730,000 criminal aliens in US or state prisons and local jails during the period measured. They accounted for 4.9 million arrests for 7.5 million offenses.

The arrests include allegations of more than one million drug crimes, a half-million assaults, 133,800 sex offenses and 24,200 kidnappings.

Imprisoned noncitizens, over a five-year period, had been arrested for 33,300 homicide-related offenses and 1,500 terrorism-related crimes.

Many were repeat offenders. Of about 146,500 criminal aliens who had finished one federal prison term, about one in six — around 24,800 — already had been imprisoned again at least once.

With many millions of illegal border crossings in recent years, experts say the numbers may well have worsened since the 2011-2016 time period analyzed in the 2018 GAO report.

However, the government does not appear to have updated or repeated its analysis since that time.

Full Measure with Sharyl Attkisson

Full Measure: May 5, 2024 - Border Politics

Intro - 0:00

Border Politics - 1:48
Illegal immigration remains the most important problem facing the U.S. for the third month running. That’s according to Gallup. And it blends with another top election concern: crime. So far this fiscal year, illegal border crossers with nearly 9,000 criminal convictions have gotten caught coming into the U.S. They include more than a thousand convictions for violent crimes like sex offenses, assault, and murder. Today we begin in Texas where President Biden is surprising some by building miles of new border wall.

Emergency Spending - 10:27
Even with a running deficit and crushing debt, Congress spends giant amounts of our tax money on supposed emergency causes. But Scott Thuman reports, what constitutes an emergency is open to a lot of interpretation.

Flght Safety - 16:38
From near misses to a mid-air door blowout, there have been notable troubles for air travel. This week, Congress revealed a new, proposed five-year plan of action for the FAA. Lisa Fletcher reports it includes some safety upgrades.
