Here's my ECC.

Note-  only had this LT mount on the day the CQBSS showed up.  Scope is now sitting in a KAC Ext. Relief High NVG mount.  But, you get the idea.

Build on a CMT receiver set, Mega 16" barrel, 14" Fortis Switch Rail, Bushnell DMR in a SPR-S mount. Now if the ATF would just hurry up with the paperwork for my 7.62RC.

It's a little heavier than my target weight, but with all the crap I've got bolted up to it I'm not unhappy. Shoots great and feels surprisingly well balanced.

I had a PWS FSC30 brake on mine originally. I liked how it functioned but when at the range, with concrete below and metal roof overhead it really rang my bells. Decided a flash hider was good enough. ;)

The barrel is a 20" bull profile , 1x11 twist. It's a heavy sob but definitely completes the look I was going for and is a clean, beautiful barrel. The receivers are Matrix Aerospace btw...same basically as the Ruger 762. Got them off gunbroker a few months back for 330 shipped.

Thank you! I've always been a big fan of Aero and was excited to see them release the .308. A 12.5" will be great!

A few things I noticed when assembling the lower. Had to order Aero's takedown pin because they are a bit longer. dpms didn't make it out of the lower. Takedown detent spring also had to be trimmed to allow proper room for the detent. And still looking for a mag catch long enough to make the release stick out properly. Ordered an Armalite catch which is longer than the dpms but still isn't long enough. It works just wish it would stick out the same as a normal AR release. Hopefully Aero will add one to their parts page soon!

How about a history lesson...

Armalite factory AR10A2 with ALOSTYR handguards and a $100 20-rounder that, at the time, I was tickled to death to get (circa 2000)

Got tired of the carry handle and went to an A4.  Also removed the MB and installed FS when AWB went away (Sometime in 2004)(How about that sick VFG!)

Alright, decided to get serious and FF this barrel, get a real scope (NF) and throw on a can and some Norrells Moly Resin while we're at it. (We'll call it about 2008) Started shooting some serious sub-moa groups out to 500+ yards.  I was able to get to 900+ range a couple of times...found out that I hate the wind!

Last mod was a VLTOR EMOD and Slash buffer (2009ish).  I've since ditched the gripod and put a VCAS sling on it but otherwise pretty much stayed this way for the last five years.
