The HDR and instagram thing makes the photos look ugly. Not to mention the massive amounts of haloing they have.

I think It depends on what your going for in the image.  I like a little processing.  My photography professor told me in college once, "every professional image has been re-touched and processed." the good images just require a lot less in my opinion.

In either case, to me it depends on what your going for.  Art is a hard thing to put a finger on.  The debate about what art "IS" or what beauty 'IS" has been going on since before Socrates.

Here's my contribution for this page.  I'm in love with this one I've decided.  Rarely ever see this color used with firearm images, but for this shot it worked out if you ask me:

Nice AR, I see you have a lot of money in it. Looks like a high quality AR. Here we are not interested in high quality AR's... Just high quality photos.

Sorry but...sitting on the couch, the bad lighting, the blur in the bottom of the image (maybe a finger or something) Not that I'm an expert, but most would agree if we are judging and critiquing your photo that its not even close buddy. But nice try.

If Munition has a problem with it we will stop posting them and there is already a HDR thread in the photography section.

Nice job on the HDR.
Most people seem to go overboard with it. Those are nicely done. The guns are ok too I guess.

Much better. Most people over do the HDR process. A little is better. None is probably best but I haven't figured out lighting yet.

Not a gun, but messed up primers after loading. Well the second one I caught before powder fill because the press wouldn't rotate. The first one was probably me picking up the primer from the dish wrong. Always check the reloads after!

I'm not usually a fan of tight DOF, but it definitely fits the photos here.  Kind of gives the effect of an extreme close-up without needlessly cropping the everliving fuck out of the photo.
