Maybe it has something to do with being right handed?

The reason his thumb is that way is that as a lefty, unless you have an ambi safety, that is the only way to manipulate the safety quickly.

This.  Also, if he's ever done any precision shooting with an AR style rifle, most teach to NOT wrap your thumb.

Probably has more to do with the fact that he doesn't have an ambi-safety, though.

This is correct. Unless your index finger is really flexible, you have to contort your hand.

Yes, this style of grip can help minimize or eliminate sympathetic movement in the firing hand while shooting. More likely is that he's wrong-handed, though

Who sells Skilcraft spray paint?

I like their tan color...its what we used to paint stuff when I was in the Marines.

They make great (cheap) pens too

If anyone is looking for a BLOCK II upper, I'm going to post my complete Daniel Defense which includes KAC sights.

Has less then 200 rounds threw it. Going to post it in the EE when I get home. Looking for a new 1911 COLT or Springfield project.

Still haven't spotted it.

Been thinking about adding a second Block II with a different configuration to the collection, so it's worth a look.

You can keep your Scouts.  While not on the SOPMOD chart, many, many, many units have purchased them for Block 1.5 & Block 2 M4s.  They have an NSN: 6230-01-525-4109, so they are in the "system".  They mounting options are better, too.  The M3X 1913 mount usually needs a few sheets of tin foil to tighten it up - unless you're using the .mil QD rail mount.  If you do go the M3X or M6X route, the "rail-grabber" version provides a more secure mount.  Lights, like grips, are down to user preferences (or mission if deployed) anyway

She is done!! Well, almost. I need a front sight..debating whether I want a Troy or spend the $60 extra and get a taupe KAC sight. I freaking LOVE this thing already!! Not nearly as heavy as I thought it would be.

(best part)

And with the M4-CQBR clone and Mk12 Mod0.

Still awaiting my tan M620 and Thorntail offset mount, but she's still dang nice how she currently sits.

Also pondering an Aimpoint 3x magnifier from LaRue. Not sure how I feel about adding that weight for such a small amount of magnification though.

The great thing about the LaRue mount is that it's QD.

You might have to move your T1 up one or two notches - but other than that - you have the option of removing or installing the QD as the situation dictates.

What did I do when I ran out of useful things to buy at Surplus Ammo over the last week?  I bought less-than-useful-but-still-a-sound-investment things.  I picked up this and 2 SF 60's just for the heck of it.  The 60's are actually pretty sweet.  Are they worth the price?  Not if you don't have stacks of mags already.  But they fit well and feel nice.  This thing, on the other hand?  It is so stinking heavy and awkward.  But this is still America (at the moment), and I can.

I know.  Read it again.  I bought this one (which is a 100) and 2 60's.  The 60's are pretty cool, but this one is not.  The sucker weighs 12.5 pounds fully loaded with that mag.

Haha, my bad, reading comprehension ain't so great tonight.

In other news, looks like my PR carbine is possibly a go... can't wait. Just need to trade my Aimpoint M4 for an SU231(or231A).

Nice. I can't decide if I want a surefire 60rd mag or not. Part of me says get 2 while you can, another part says get more pmags. Today, the Pmag voice won and I ordered a 10 pack. Tomorrow, I think a surefire 60rd might happen

Do it while you still can.  It sucks having 10rd mags + bullet buttons.  Hopefully the rest of you will never have to experience such an awful thing.

Bottom one is probably going to be a PR rifle or just a plain old M4, maybe a MK12? LOL can't get my mind made up on another clone or I did really like that picture a few pages back with the Geissele rail.

I'm also really digging the A2 grip now. They didn't really fit my hands that well before but now they feel great.
