Very cool.  Please excuse my lack of depth of knowledge on optics.  What scope and mount is that?  And is that a harris 12-18 on there?

Well thats up for discussion.

Its a prototype of sorts, either a C-more or NF Varminter.
Came from CRANE after selections

I sold one of those a while ago.  I figured I wouldn't want that much weight added.  But I did think that would be a good idea to sit and shoot.  That is pretty cool.   Is that not your gun?  If not where did that pic come from?  That floor looks kind of.....  like it's tore up.

If it's a clone you're after, krylon is damn near mandatory.

ETA:  also, if you could, maybe use a different image host than facebook.  A lot of people can't see the photos from there for one reason or another.

Crazy money. I would not rule out $800+, especially on eBay where the sky is literally the limit. Here, I bet it would sell easily for $600.

Nice. I guess it pays to know certain folks. $450 is more than fair.

It definitely seems like the FB group(s) are the best way to go these days. In a way, it's a good thing because it keeps rare/clone parts in the family so to say, rather than opening up to randoms on this site that may be only looking to flip and make a quick profit on eBay.

I don't have access to those markets because I don't FB.

The 1-4x were never used. More likely you would see a 2.5-10x24 if it was a Nightforce

The Vortex Razor HD 1-6x is out there too. Not sure if that's an M4A1.

True, but then we're getting in to the whole issued optics vs. seen in the wild optics

Right. If we're talking strictly issued though the only acceptable variable power would be the Elcan. The NF is issued, but it was never a part of the SOPMOD program.

You are correct. He mentioned the 1-4x NF so I wanted to mention the 2.5-10 is more likely to be seen since it is used on other weapons platforms as official optics.

Not that I'm aware of. The dudes that are using the Razor can buy whatever they want so they don't have to worry about pesky contracts and all of the red tape that comes with them..

I've got a FDE B5 Sopmod I want to use. The color is a bit bright. What is the closest paint color match to LMT tan? Perhaps Brownell's Magpul FDE paint? Something else?

Hm I know Geissele has a SOCOM contract for the 30mm Vortex 1-6 SOPMOD mount. So it would make sense if Vortex did.

I asked my friend in SOCOM if he's ever seen the razors. He said a few but everyone prefers the elcans

Which Elcan model is "the standard" issued scope?  I'm assuming it's the Specter DR 1-4 X, but I've seen pictures that make it look like there also could be some 1.5-6 X out there too.  (Or I'm seeing shadows instead of the hood on the objective end, but that's why I ask!)
