Earlier today, I picked up my DD MK18 and SF 556 can.  Just an FYI, I paper filed in October 2013, approval was July 7, 2014.  These are my first NFA purchases.  I have a KAC 300 micro rear which may not be on the "approved list", but I prefer the lower profile windage knob.  I still need to get a sling setup, any suggestions would be welcomed.  The many pic's posted by others here helped hold me over during the last 9 months, I will return the favor by posting my own setup below:

Nice gun, dude.  That's very much like mine except I have a SOPMOD stock which I wish were a CTR again.  My 556RC just got approved yesterday so I will post pics once it's here.

did you submit the form 1 by paper or by e-file with a trust?

Your dealer can do both, e-file and paper, which is recommended because the damn e-server system is on and off all the time. Whichever one they get to first will get approved. And DEFINITELY set a trust up; literally takes 10 minutes to fill it out and have it notarized. I did mine myself.

I already have my trust and submitted for my form 1's electronically - I think the form 4s are down on e-file so silencer shop might have had to fax my form 4. They shipped pretty quick, though. My Surefire can gets to my local dealer on Friday.

Very nice!

I use CQD front and rear sling mounts. They work well and give you more clone points!

VCAS slings work well for me

Just bit the bullet and ordered a FDE Socom 556-RC last night with ScilencerShop.

Hopefully the wait wont be too terrible.

(still going to need a more correct lower) But that'll come at a later time.

edit: Danger Close has been seen on CQBRs but don't remember seeing a Gear sector or Haley

[Last Edit: ECPrevatte] [#44]
People talk too much about how bad 10.5" suppressed guns can be and how they seem to be so unreliable. Majority of the ammo is XM855 and XM193. I shot some PMC Bronze I had left over, but no steel cased just because I don't actively buy it.

Until it starts jamming it's going to stay this way.
