I've always thought when building a clone, if you use other than standard/correct parts that can't be seen(gas block, barrel, bcg, etc) JUST DONT talk about it

Anyway, 2 more days.

Decided to check in on this thread after a long while. Pretty stoked to see that the Warcomp I went with a year or 2 ago is now legal!!!

Because this thread has the largest single group of guys running overgassed, suppressed SBRs which stand to benefit from such a product. If my ejection port is closed you don't even know the difference. Same can be said for adjustable gas blocks.

Do Knights BUIS ever go on sale or is that a hold your nose and just pull out the credit card kind of deal?  Was hoping to see something during Black Friday weekend but didn't find anything. I'm guessing it's probably the latter.

Lanbo's Armory has the best price on new taupe 99051's at $174 - just have to add it to your cart to see the price. Good deals pop up in the EE every now and then.

Just picked up a Surefire m961 for dirt cheap.  For those still rocking mod 0 clones, is the Malkoff led conversion the best option out there for turning a dinosaur into a modern usable light?

You can still post pics, they just show up as a link. When a team member approves it, then it will show up like normal.

This thread needs less pictures and more discussion around gas ports and LMT uppers that may or may not have been fielded 12 years ago per 1st hand accounts by someone’s uncle’s brother’s neighbor, who was a Green Beret Seal on Team 48.

Mine’s all accurate, sorry you don’t like my paint job. First I’ve heard of it being a problem and I’ve been here on and off since the first iteration of the thread. I guess we could spend a few pages figuring out how to wear the paint just right for that OAF look.

Needs more gen 1 sopmod to be more accurate.

If you live in the Phoenix area and you built yours to get out and shoot it, you should bring ‘em out to the RMAR matches at Rio Salado. You’ll have a blast!

Oops, I forgot about that. I had to swap that a little while back and I keep forgetting to fix it. I’ve been focusing on long range games this year and only break this out once a month. You have an excellent eye for detail! Nice

Thanks for the tip. I’m learning to use the IMGUR and I need to learn through repetition. I have memory problems from too many concussive blasts, at least that’s what the VA says.

Very nice rifles, I bet that 300 is fun!

While I agree this thread is better with more clone correct pics, cmon 1 pic per post?  Rifle looks good aside from the paint which I just don't particularly like, but that's just my opinion.

One more day!

With many Thanks to this thread...I just got my MK18 DD upper in today.
I’m running the KAC NT4 suppressor.
Which flash hider do I want to go with?
I’ve seen a few different ones online but don’t know which one is best suited for the MK18.

THIS is what you want. You can probably find it cheaper in the EE.

Edit: Doesn't the NT4 usually come with the flash hider?

Haha, well played! When I bought the Jeep, it had the chrome gas cap cover and I never replaced it. I love my rims though!

Great to see you around again, Thunder. Rifle looks rad as always. What's this you speak of in regards to RMAR matches at Rio? Can you elaborate? I live in Gilbert and haven't shot for like 9+ months. I'm itching to get out and use this thing more.

Great to see you on here as well! Rio Salado has a match on the 3rd Sunday of the month called Red Mountain Action Rifle. They are USPSA style matches with carbines and they are perfect for these rifles. Open stage, run the can. Tight maze, pop the can off and it’s CQB. It’s $7 if you do the pistol match in the morning, I think it’s $12 or $20 if you don’t. No prize money, but they are fun and the MK18/CQBR was purpose built for it. I let my membership lapse, so I don’t think I can PM anymore; however, if you’re interested, we can figure out how to link up! Nice rifle!
