This is AKs thread but I'm staring to think the VCOG is must, love minez ANYONE else having to compensate the VCOG BDC with shorter barrels? I've found with my 1/7 13.7 and a heavier grain I'm having ZERO issues out to 400 yds, though it's the longest I've tested, w/75g BTHP TAP my fav.

I'm not sure on the BDC yet as I've only had the chance to take it out to 100.  I also need to order up some 5.56 pressure 77gr ammo (probably the CBC 77gr stuff) as the only stuff I have is .223 pressure.

Speaking of which, I never got an answer back from Trijicon.  Do you (or anybody else in this thread) by chance have the actual measurements for the 77gr BDC reticle, or at least what velocity it's calibrated for so I can figure out the drops?

That's a sick MR, Ryan.

And the TR25 is definitely gonna be my next optic purchase. Already got the VCOG covered.

I don't, honestly I haven't noticed a difference 0-400yds. I have a long range comp coming up soon that will be 200-1000, I want to run the mini for fun, why I asked. I guess I'll find out at the end of the month and report back about heavier grains and the BDC at range  .....VCOG for life, need a RMR for the bitch

Sub $200 2 stage trigger. I'm finally over my ridiculously light Timney single stage, it'll be going on EE, amazing trigger, just not (my) mini material.

G2S, MBT, and CMC are my thoughts, any input would greatly be appreciated.

The Laserlyte is a POS you say, I'm shocked

Have you looked at the Lasermax Uni IR? I've got one on the way, and its $150ish vs the $800 of a dbal I2.

Damnit I love this thread! So bought a stripped lower and now I'm waiting for the Form 1.

I have a couple questions for y'all now. Anyone shooting a centurion barrel? How are you liking it, as far as accuracy goes? My plans are to do a 12.5 Centurion upper with an 11" CMR (just going to order it complete and straight from Centurion).

If anyone has pictures of an 11" CMR on a 12.5 upper (or anything similar), bonus internet points to you.

Pic thread/place marker for now!

Haha that's sweet. I haven't decided if I like having an 11lb 5oz gun yet or not. So much lighter to run a T2 and then swap it out with a vortex 2.5-10 if I'm shooting further out. This thing is sweet though. Maybe someone can comment on whether or not to keep the heavy setup or swap between two optics.

I'd keep the heavier setup. Your setup looks kinda nose heavy to me which I'm familiar with (FSP Block 2)

So in my experience the more weight you can keep towards the center/back of the gun as well helps balance it out a bit, if that makes sense.

Thanks can't wait for my spec war to get approved.    Also switching to the new slr rifle work ion series key mod when they release the 9.5 in a couple weeks.

I hear ya on that. It is front heavy with the laser, light, and heavy match barrel. Def balances a bit better with the VCOG. I wonder how I would feel about it after a carbine course.

I say give it a shot with each (either switch optics half way through, or do a carbine course with each) and see which you like better

It was actually inspired by a Mod H that I saw in the MK12 thread. I couldn't locate an Ace SOCOM stock so I made a few personal tweaks, but I love the way it turned out. I'm still debating leaving it as an amalgamation of mixed matched used components or doing a full krylon respray. I kind of like the grunge rock zero f*cks look of the gun as she sits.

I was always curious, how come these barrels have a "block/spacer" looking thing a couple of inches back from the front of the muzzel.  Is it an extension or some kind of specific type of barrel?  Mainly referring to the rifle in the back, since it is more noticable, but I think the one in the front has it too, just not as visible.

That's a brake/collar setup for the Ops Inc (or AE) cans. They're "reflex cans" so the thread protector comes off the brake and the can threads on and indexes against the sloped collar further down the barrel.

ETA: They're one of the signature aspects of the Mk12 rifles. Just look at a few pictures in that thread of the rifles with cans and you'll get it.
