Is this normal? Bad? Something that needs to be fixed? Or just something that happens to everyone?

I took the Mod 0 out to shoot about 200 rounds this past weekend and when I got back I noticed the black marks from some of the gas blowing out the side of the gas block. That suckers on there tight, I checked, and I even used some thread locker to keep it tight. The rifle functioned fine, zero issues feeding and ejecting. Which makes me think its no big deal. Maybe its just because this is my only light colored stainless barrel, but I have never noticed my other AR's doing this...

At least he gets a chainsaw in this thread. He could post that same exact rifle in the Mk 18 thread and 1) he'd be closer than half the stuff that *does* get posted there and 2) anyone calling him out on it would be called a "clone police" or something weird like that.

With any luck, the small gap will get filled with carbon and stop leaking all together. If it's not causing functional issues, your fine.

I need to figure out my gas tube/gas block fit. It's like fisting a whale loose IMO. On the other hand the block itself is going to be super snug on the barrel, which is nice. I think someone mentioned using green loctite? to help seal the space between the tube and the block.

I found a 3.5-10 for the same price point and would rather have the range of mag...even though I'll probably keep it on 10x most of the time.

Whichever one you want to get, but I have no official say in this thread. ARMS #32 for Mod 0, KAC for Mod 1. Something like that from what I've been seeing.

It is complete, the upper at least, and the lower parts too. Just need the stripped lower.

I plan to use these on the Mod H....just debating if I should use the mk4 3-9x36 M1 scope or get rid of it and get the correct one with m2/m3 turrets?

I'm probably going M1 turrets on mine, even though techncially M3 is correct.  I just don't like the idea of no less than 1 MOA elevation adjustment.

Hell yes!  What is coming Friday?  Enough to finish the gun?

Not quite, I'll have enough for a shootable upper (barrels, muzzle device/collar, bolt, upper, gas system). Still looking for a stripped lower and ssa/gs2, and have not decided on what BUIS set up I'm going with.

Arms H rings went to gunnut003! Every one hold him accountable to post pics when his MOD 1 is complete!

The M3 is 1MOA and the M2 is 1/2MOA elevation

Thats what I said....M3 is "correct" but I dont like 1 moa.

Prefer the 1/4 since im not gonna be shooting it past 500-600....dont need maximum ups.

Those m1 turrets tho so ugly

In all honesty, once you zero an mr/t scope with mk262 at 100, you just use the mil dots to hit out to 600 it's so easy. No adjustments needed
