The x24s just look SO good on a Mod1, but they just can't be that user-friendly. I've never had the chance to mess with one though, so I have no idea.

I ran the x24 on my Mod 1 with no issues before upgrading to the 3.5-15 - but when I moved it to the Mod 0 I had eye relief issues due to having to move it so far forward with the Arms 40 rear sight.  Sold it recently and am replacing it with a VariX III for the Mod 0.   But on a Mod 1 or Holland no issues really.  I don't shoot at night though.

Re the 32 - Is that a AWS rifle or Jeff's rifle?  Not sure a Civilian CEO shooting his rifle as an Army Training center demo/tour validates anything :).

But, as stated above (and, on page 1) the 32 has been tagged as a suitable replacement for cloning, since the original 24's are relatively scarce..

Optics & Rings:
In the case of the Leupold 3-9x or 3.5-10x, it's generally okay to go for a non-illuminated version of either, sometimes with M1 or other turrets and reticles. As far as the NightForce scope, the 2.5-10x24mm is not generally released to the public anymore (with one recent exception through Sniper's Hide), so many use the 32mm or even 42mm versions with the #22 High rings. As for the rings, any of the recent produced A.R.M.S. #22s with the lever-stop humps are functionally the same, the desire for non-lever-stops is purely aesthetic when going for the most authentic look. As LaRue LT-104s have been seen in use, it is justifiable to use one depending on whether you have a specific rifle you want to copy, or even just if you absolutely cannot acquire #22 High rings.

I do have a photo request if anyone could oblige. Mod 0 with a NXS 2.5-10x32 with either ARMS med or high rings. I’m trying to visualize the scope height that I want, but I’m coming up short in the search for photos meeting that criteria.

For a Mod 0 with ARMS 40 Rear you can use anything, as you won't clear the 40 so will be in front of it no matter what, so you can go as low as your front objective will allow really.  See my pic on top of this page - that's an x24 with A107's (1.125").  ARMS 22M would be similar (1.15") and appropriate for a swan sleeve - 22H's (1.45") *might* clear, so that's what you need to see a pic of... but they would be too high with a sleeve, imo.

If your not using correct 40 rear however, then all above goes out the window :).

Mmmmh, when I mailed with them a few weeks back they said they couldn't order one as it is discontinued by Leupold.

Anyway, my Rings just came in and I just tested eye relief and fitment with my Airsoft Block II
I love it! (Luckily the overall length of the Sopmod Stock is the same as an A2)

(The Paracord on the stock is just as a counterweight.)

It's not great... it visibly darkens as you go from about 6ish - 10x; I got mine for clone correctness on a Mk 14 Mod 1 with the fancy CQB/BAC reticle and I keep it cranked to about 4x on a SCAR 17S now that my M14 stuff has all been sold off.

Originally Posted By RTUtah:

They're user friendly; there are just better scopes for the money.  I don't think there are any other quality options that will hit a full 10x with this short of an overall length though (which allows a PEQ-2A on the top rail on the 18" bbl stuff - sorry Mod H).  Ignoring the reticle, I still prefer the variable 8x TS-30 stuff on a Mk12 and that's what I run now.

The best way I can describe it between the x24 and the TS-30:

x24 has better glass
TS-30 is a better scope

If you want to run a clip-on or a PEQ-2A on the top, this is pretty much what you've got available for options.  You might be able to squeeze a PVS-30 ahead of a 3.5-10 on an 18" variant but I've not tried it myself.

Hey guys wanted to chime in I am way behind on the Faux suppressors. Lathe went down and I had to source apron casting and hand wheel gear and a few other parts. I am trying to get this last batch done up for you guys. Sorry for the delay. I did get a new casting actually a whole new apron gear box out of GA (50.00) so I will be up and running this week. Again sorry for delay.

Correct. I was traveling a lot and sending the 5320s in and getting them approved until one day the ATF supervisor gave me a call and said you don't need to fill this out just for suppressors. Needless to say I also looked it up to confirm since all I had was word of mouth comms.

I've got the MD2, which isn't bad. Kindof like the MLR2 better though.

I have one with the MLR 2.0 and the H58, they are both awesome but selling the H58 because I don’t really “need” 2, and need to keep hoarding ammo

But yeah, owning both the x24 and F1, the difference is huge, so is the size/weight

Thanks man. Got 2 on the way now. Any idea on lead times from them? I didn’t see it mentioned.
