no need to remove the light for bench-rest or sandbags. It's out of the way of Bi-Pods too.

Ok I have a champagne taste and a MD 20/20 budget so I came up with this. This is a Surefire light for some unknown pistol and I modified and made a mount out of hard wood which I will copy to nylon when I am done. Low Budget and works like a charm. I have two more of these lights I am going to put into the "equipment exchange" this week.

Great job well done!!!!!!!  But personally I think you should AT LEAST put a 6V instead of a 3V system aye?   3V just doesnt cut it!  Especally on a rifle.

Just my 2 cents

I cannot stand tape switches, plus it makes a nice vert grip also.

First off, it's a Surefire 962 in the bag, but Duffy, you inspired me to attempt to mount my 972.

Dang, it won't clear the rail if you mount it where my thumb can reach it from the Dieter grip.

In this photo it's mounted as far back as it can go.

And the LT mount I have on my 962 won't let the 972 clear either, it sits in too close.

But, a while back I ordered a YHM angle mount from Brightflashlights before I got the LT Surefire mount and it's buried in the bottom of the parts box.

Mounted, and ready to go!

Yes, a D-760 would be a perfect match for a 6.8, MRP or otherwise.
First, we have to get through the tax return in the next month, but with two additional little mouths in the house I'd have to say it's looking pretty good.

And Victor, you're right, the 16"SS is a shooter, the other night with BH 75 grain, the PVS-14, IWAL 2  laser, Aimpoint M3, I shot 2-3" groups at 100 yards!

I saw somebody Epoch thinks he's got an "el cheapo" light... If y'all wanna talk about cheap tac-lights, I go all y'all beat! Flashlight at AutoZone, $3 or $4; 2 pipe clamps from Lowes, about $1 a piece; electrical tape, $4 for a roll , and I have a half decent Tac-light and mount for about $10. :) I dont think it looks half bad, but then again, I reckon I'm slightly partial. :) Lemme know what y'all think.

Edwin... nice setup.  I just ordered my first AR10 (needed the 308) and I'm looking for sight ideas.  What kind of scopes do you have... and why did you go with two?
