Greetings,

I'm in NJ and can't have a flash hider.  In quest of a muzzle device that is a brake / compensator, but also is sly enough to perform some flash suppression.

I have the BCM Mod 1 on a couple of rifles.  It works decently as the FH part, but is a bit blasty, especially on a 14.5" barrel.  Looking for other options for a new build for a 16-18" barrel, as well as another 14.5"

Vg6 muzzle brakes are my go to here in the garden state. They come pre drilled so if you are handy you can pin them easier. I also like the midwest 2 chamber brake and lantac dragon.

I also have used the yhm low profile 3 port brake. It's OD is .750 so you can still remove a gas block to swap around barrelnuts and such.

Back during the ban I used the cav comp or the Wilson comp. They looked like A2 flash hiders but had a closed front. Not as effective or as loud as some.
Doesn’t look like they are made anymore.
But Wilson has This
Should not be hard to pin.
Now if you want the gun to stay flat while you do a mag dump the Rolling Thunder 3 port is the way to go.

If that is the Mini-Y, which I believe it is, it’s perhaps the best at eliminating movement from recoil but man is that damn thing loud and creates a heck of a back blast.

Bad for home defense…

It's definitely a blast to shoot

90% of mine either have a BCM mod 1/2 or a 2A Armament t3 comp on them

Personally I like the Sure Fire fast attach or Procomp muzzle brakes. Cosmeticly, I like the Aim sports A2.

Warcomp or socom brake, even without a suppressor they are my favorite muzzle devices.

I vote no muzzle device.

Pin and weld a thread protector on instead.
