Suffice to say you are impressed with the accuracy of the barrel?
Great results, great build, great data. Thanks for the writeup as always. |

as always great review and info
looks like the track 2.0 is a shooter also great looking build , she's a "beaut" clark |

Well... What a simply awesome way to start a Sunday.
Excellent review !! Thank you for your dogged efforts, and for sharing with us, for our benefit as well. Very impressive results from your barrel and assembly. |

I've been liking the VSeven, and SOLGW/ZEV/MEGA stuff I've used lately. Everything is nice and tight, and functions well. I hope to try some Triarc stuff, but I don't have anything in mind, right now. Nice to see other people are getting good results with these parts.

Great info as usual!
I emailed Triarc asking which weight ammo shot the best out of their 13.9". They replied with the 77gr IMI RZR Core. I've shot it with those and cheap 55's. Need to shoot it for groups. Not so easy with a 1-4 scope. |

Great writeup and pics as always!
Its good that there is lots of companies making great shooting barrels. |

I haven’t shot mine for groups yet but it was good on it’s zero and very soft shooting. They make good barrels and this showed it.

Triarc's product is top tier. You won't convince me otherwise.

As always, awesome review!
How are you liking that particular shooting rest? I see the next model up is a bit pricey and wondering if you think its worth the extra cash. |

Have you thought doing barrel accuracy tests with and without a suppressor? It would be interesting to see how the additional weight would or wouldn't effect groupings on different barrels

Dang, that was better than I expected... I'm certainly happy with my track barrels (both micromoa and triarc), they definitely shoot better than I do, but I've shot 2 or 3 of them out now... normally have issues between the 15-20k mark.

Awesome review. Is this the most accurate sub-2 pound barrel you've tested? I have an irrational fascination with very accurate practical weight AR barrels in the 14.5 - 16" range.

Quoted: Awesome review. Is this the most accurate sub-2 pound barrel you've tested? View Quote Off the top of my head, the closest in accuracy for a sub-two pound barrel to the TRIARC was the 14.5" Colt M4A1 SOCOM barrel. The M4A1 weighs two ounces more than the 16" TRIARC Track 2.0 and was slightly less accurate than the TRIARC barrel. |

Geeze - I had my heart set on a criterion core. But this has me rethinking thing.
I appreciate your research and postings! I consider this to be the "Pew Science" of barrels |

The Triarc barrels are great. I’m about to put together a 16in upper with their barrel.

@Molon what is your take on the barrel durability based upon your eval and knowledge of build material?

Quoted: @Molon what is your take on the barrel durability based upon your eval and knowledge of build material? View Quote I had the same question. After reading so much here it seems that the consensus is that the longest lasting barrel will be a chrome lined hammer forged barrel. I gave up chasing the “perfect” barrel, but it would have been cool if the Triarc barrel could have produced the same reults with chrome lining. There are some pretty accurate CL barrels out there, but, there I go chasing perfection again. It never ends. Lol. I’ll never use any barrel to it’s full potential (utilizing handloads) but it is cool having barrels that are durable and inherently accurate, right? |

What % more accurate at what % less durable (rhetorical)? I suspect it's minimal on both sides to end the pursuit for the perfect barrel and just go with what you like. Triarc suppressed-only 11.5" is my go-to for multiple scenarios. I just threw Sionics NP3 carriers in all of them...quite nice. Aimpoint, Surefires/Arisaka, Geissele, and other high end parts but not immune to issues or failures; I try to hedge that fact with good parts. I suspect the Triarc is plenty durable, and I'll take the accuracy increases vs my CL bbls right now. |

Can’t believe I missed this data point. That seems to be when many barrels start to show issues. Agreed, but hammer forged barrels seem to surpass that benchmark by at least another 10,000 rounds. I could be wrong about that, but, IIRC, I thought I read something on ARFCOM regarding some military testing that brought this to light. 25K to 30K is a lot of ammo. On the rifle that I use the most for practice and rifle course, I believe I only have around 6000 rounds through it. That rifle is topped with a Colt factory 6720 upper. |

Just verified Track 2 barrel life with them:
Nick Eder (TRIARC Systems) Nov 16, 2022, 10:28 CST DefenderAO, Thank you for reaching out! Expectancy should be around 15-20k rounds on all of our Track 2.0 Barrels. |

I am quite impressed with TRIARC barrels precision groups so far. |
