I use their brake and thread protector that goes with it. They make them in 556 and 30cal. I do not form mine to a 60 deg, I prefer the 45 degree angle baffles. You can form them, but don't drill any holes. If you are using a bit tip to form the angle then you'll want to wait until you can drill some holes. |

A little help guys, is this all I need minus the freeze plugs for a 9mm and .22 form 1 build. http://<a href=http://i1272.photobucket.com/albums/y393/TATBME/Mobile%20Uploads/image_zpsp7sq2emf.jpg</a>" /> View Quote You would actually need a booster... |
|
For center fired pistol you will need a booster or Nielsen device. SDTA does not sell them as far as I know of.

Thanks for the replies, I will be ordering these parts and submitting my form 1 today so I just wanted to make sure. Hopefully I'll get them back this summer the form 1 wait times are getting longer and longer, already have 2 that need approval.

With the SDTA tubes you would want the Maglite threaded adapter, not the Greatlite. |

Im i able to build a can that utilizes the AAC ratchet system ?

1 more question if I grab the griffin QD do I ditch the rear thread protector?
|
|
|
|
Sorry for all the questions, but if I'm looking at it right if I order the lid from gemtech do I also ditch the rear TP for the 9mm can? I'd hate to waste money on parts and have to build another suppressor
ETA: Nevermind I'll need one for the scorpion anyway. |

Thanks everybody for all the help I submitted 2 form 1's and ordered everything from SD now I need to pick up a booster and QD attachment, won't be in a rush tho since form 1 wait times are up to 70 days now.

I was playing around with grim's picture of his layout to show some of my designs. 7.6 Ti tube with cap, style ends. http://i296.photobucket.com/albums/mm198/WeberSteve/Suppressor design 1_zpssi2gzdfe.png 5.6 Ti tube with low profile ends. http://i296.photobucket.com/albums/mm198/WeberSteve/Suppressor design 3_zpsdbsd6y6q.png http://i296.photobucket.com/albums/mm198/WeberSteve/Suppressor design 2_zps6ex92rou.png View Quote So I'm planning my first F1 suppressor build and I'm curious about this drawing here. Does this drawing need to be included with the Form 1 to show suppressor design for approval? Sorry if this is a noob question but I've read through the thread and didn't see that specifically mentioned. Thanks |

I have 15 in my 7.6" tube with roughly a 1.5" blast chamber. 15 freeze plugs? Do you know what it weighs? 21oz I believe. Mine will be a similar setup, I think 14 plugs the rest blast chamber, expecting right around 20oz after holes are drilled and what not |

Anyone see that SD introduced the B-cell tubes today. I'm interested to see what plugs fit. They also had the plugs that matched the tube. I know, but I want to know what plugs they are. |

The ones Darrel has listed are a good bit more than the standard freeze plugs. |

I wonder if they'll make the B-tube in a 5.6 length that'll be ideal.

I just filed my form 1 and if they come out with a 5.6 B-cell before I get my stamp back I'll buy it and build it, then I'd have to find something else to build with my D-cell 5.6

SDTA 7.6" Ti tube with 10 FP shaped with press. SS spacer material from SDTA as the blast chamber. .45 cal suppressor (.50 hole). Shooting 7.62x39 with SDTA adaptor and end cap. It is definitely hearing safe. I didn't get any baffle strikes. Of course I didn't expect to get any with the .50 hole. lol I wasn't putting much effort into aiming initially as I hoping it would just work. I finally decided to aim at the 8" plate at 100. I don't seem to have any poi shift. That was a quick function check and everything worked great!
