i just bought a SDB in a.44 mag for a semi-reasonable price which is the good news.
The bad news is that I do not shoot .44 Mag.
My thinking was that I could easily buy a couple of conversion kits for .45ACP and .357 and
life would be good.
I found and ordered 9mm kit from Grafs to get some use out of it but haven't had any luck tracking
down any kits for  .45 ACP or .357.

Any hints on where to look?

Dillion is stating 20 week backorders for both.

Dillon still struggles with carbide for their dies.  and, So that is the hold up...there are 9mm and 380 and some 40 conversions out there that are new.
I suggest you to dillon dealers and see if they have notify me options and just get in line.
Check ebay for used one?

Titan reloading is a good place for Dillon stuff, but they only have the 40SW conversion in stock now.

I'd sign up on waiting lists and keep an eye on ebay and the EE here and other forums.

Might try selling your 44 mag components as a conversion kit to offset some of the cost of another kit.

Good luck!

I always find it odd why Dillon is still struggling with carbide dies 4 years later?  Redding, RCBS, Lyman, and Lee had no problems.

I have a sdb set up for 45 as that’s what I use to shoot a lot.  Recently bought a 9mm and shoot that often.

I’m debating buying a 9mm tool head so I can easy swap. Other option is buy the dies make about 500 for 45 then switch to 9mm which I shoot more now.

But then the wait times and prices have me thinking I can just get a case of 9 for 235 bucks too.

Figure the 9mm conversion kit and a new tool head will cost you $200 and a little more for shipping. Grafs has 9mm now for $145.

Components for reloading 9mm:

primer 5 cents
bullet 6 cents
powder 4 cents
15 cents a round vs 23.5 cents for ammo = save 8.5 cents/round or $85 per 1k.

It will add up over time.

I saw on ebay 380, 44, 40/10 conversions.  Some over priced of course
