I really like the grip angle on the Hellion and the rubberized snake skin panel helps keep the grip secure. One thing to be aware of is the bolt the LWRC grip comes with is not long enough for the Hellion, so I just used the bolt that was being used for the BCM grip. |

Very curious to see what they've come up with... |

Got my rifle back from JARD...
It's not a breaks like glass, match trigger. Still has a small amount of creep. Way way less than a cheap mil-spec AR trigger. Feels like a real two stage trigger. 1st stage is a nice 1 lb 4 oz. Breaks predictably, even with the creep. Reset is also quite short. You guys that worry about reset are going to be pleased... Details; OEM: 7 lb 2 oz. 10 shot average. JARD: 3 lb 12 oz. 10 shot average. 54 oz reduction! The trigger housing is billet aluminum. Heavily anodized. Fewer components than OEM. Components appear very much like other after market AR triggers. Of course they went with what they are familiar with... Not sure if it is adjustable. There is a screw. But they didn't send any instructions... The sample of one is well executed. I'm glad I had a hand in getting the ball rolling. No idea what they'll charge. But there is surely quite a bit of machine time involved. |
|
|
[#24]
Was it easy to install?
|
|
I'd buy that for a dollar!
|
[#25]
One for one replacement of the entire trigger pack.
|

[#26]
After about 100 live fire shots and some oil on the sear, the average pull for 10 shots in 3lb 10oz. Previous measurements were straight from the box.
Dean of JARD says it might be a while before they get them onto the market... |

Is there anything done to reduce the overtravel of the trigger on the Jard triggerpack? After work from Bill there is now 2 distinct stages (Instead of 3 kinda mushy ones). 1st stage is 3 lbs on average. Second stage gets super light at 1lb 2 oz. No creep. Reset is the same changed and was always short (Shorter when I put in my own over-travel stop). BillTrigger Work: 4 lb 2 oz. 10 pull average. Sounds like the Jards overall trigger pull is lighter but not by much.Which is similar to Bills work on the MDR trigger vs Jard.. |

Wasn't something that crossed my mind when shooting... Given that you can't get replacement trigger parts from Springfield, I was hesitant to send it to someone for modification... |

There's probably only a small group of people that actually care at this point, but I contacted Springfield to see if I sent my early 16" rifle back in if they'd convert the original gen safety to the newer style (not for free mind you, I offered to pay) and they said no. So much for being lazy.
Manticore or nothing, baby! I should probably buy one before they get discontinued given their limited market, ha. |
