Steyr made about 200 of these and I’ve been sitting on one for a while. I was going to use it as my suppressor barrel but haven’t gotten around to it, and honestly I really don’t care about 1/7 vs 1/9. Having something scarce is cool but that’s really it about the barrel for me. I’ve been thinking about selling it if it’s worth the money to sell it; I don’t notice a big enough difference minute of man combat accuracy wise between it and any of my regular old 1/9 AUG barrels and it could fund something else rather than just sitting around all special because of its scarcity.

It was worth a lot more a few weeks ago than it is today. Steyr brought back 1/7 barrels in 1/2x28 - starting with the 20" barrel.

IDK people are paying pretty good for chrome lined barrels right now.

It will still have significant value as a rare limited production collectible and also for people who want the chrome lining.

However, for some shooters who don't care about chrome lining it's appeal may be a bit less now.

I'd sit on it and revisit in a few years - unless you just need it gone.  Market is in the toilet right now.

I just looked up a few gun items today - and Holy shit.

Good time to be buying stuff though.

You can list it on gunbroker and I am fairly confident it wont sell over current barrel

truth, don't start it at a penny, you may be very disappointed when the auction is done

Are the 16in or 14.7in barrels going to be a thing in the near future?

Not for many more years if ever.
