Dillon wants $115 for their Dillon 650 conversion kit for .350 Legend:

Attachment Attached File

Since the .350 Legend is based off the .223 case there is a lot of overlap in conversion parts:

Shellplate………………………………………………………….….. Same!
Brass locator pins……………………………………………………..Same!
Station #1 locator……………………………………………………...Same!
Case feeder arm bushing (small, the green plastic one)………….Same!
Case feeder body bushing (small, the threaded silver doodad)….Same!

I think all I really need is the correct Dillon powder funnel.

I did a google search, and found this…in all places, on Reddit:

I did a quick search for .350 Legend reloading dies.  I didn’t see anything carbide for a resizing die, so I am assuming that I will still have to lube the cases???

You shoot so much 350 Legend ammo that you need to use a progressive to keep up?  Holy....

For the cost of that conversion I could have buy components to load enough 350 Legend to last the rest of my lifetime, but I only use it for hunting deer.

Ha ha!  LOL!  You’re funny!

Or rather I’m funny.

I don’t even have the .350 Legend upper yet.

But that’s about the usual for me.

I bought a used Mec 9000GN in 20 gauge before I even had any 20 gauge shotguns.

One of my coworkers lives over in Illinois and he has a .350 Legend upper.  He basically offered to loan it to me.  But I figured I would buy it off him outright.  Because Illinois gun laws got stupid, he ended up just buying a single shot rifle in .350 Legend.  He figured it would be better for his boy too.

As far as shooting deer here in Missouri, it is much more convenient system compared to Illinois.

The question is , maybe, will I have enough freezers?

Same one used for 9mm.

eta, check out American Reloading, they have 9mm 155 blems for $46.74 for 500, sale ends tonight.

Ones I got were shinny and look great.  https://americanreloading.com/product/9mm-155gr-fmj-blems-500ct/

Thank you sir!

I found the huge .350 Legend thread over at cast boolits:

https://castboolits.gunloads.com/showthread.php?387647-350-Legend-and-Cast-Boolits

It’s 41 pages long.

I would like to get a mould for it preferably gas checked, with the option of a hollow point.

I did order two boxes of those bullets from American Reloading.

I’ll hold off on that UniqueTek powder funnel until I actually get the upper, mount whatever optic, and shoot some factory ammo through it just to make sure it runs.

Thank you!

When you are using that boolit for the .357 Magnum, do you put a gas check on it too?

I have a 686, but I have never reloaded .38 Special or .357 Magnum yet.

I was thinking of an NOE Hollow point mould or an MP ( Mi-Hec ) brass mould with the hollow point pins….especially the penta pins…. In about the 170 grain to 190 grain weight class.

I am assuming you are using the Lee push through sizer???

Like this:

I have 3 or 4 of those.  I have just never used them.

I do all my 350 Legend on my Rockchucker.

A thought about it for a minute on the 750... but all I do now is do a batch and have everything sized and flared and ready to go.

I just loaded 40 last night in 20 minutes after priming them.

Second 350 legend build will be done this week.

I've damaged a few cases resizing going to fast on the up and not hitting the die just right.

Still won't use the Dillon.

Gas check went on before powder coating, won't fit after powder coating.

Ooooo. I'm going to start loading both .350Legend and .38s&w  soon.  I think I need to get that mold.

The Dillon "D" powder funnel is for .38/357 so that makes sense.

And if you already have that conversion you can plug and play.

I got my shipment from the gun club today, including a separate “D” powder funnel:

Not pictured is a bunch of virgin Starline brass.

I am going to take the powder funnel to a buffing wheel.

I got in the American Reloading 155 grain FMJ “blems” yesterday.

I can’t tell that there is a thing wrong with them:

Here is how they look versus the Sierra Pro-Hunter 155 grain Flat Nose bullets:

41 thousandths of an inch difference.

Pffttt….

The Hodgdon reloading website has an OAL of 2.140” for the Sierra Pro-Hunter 155 grainer , so going an extra 41 thousandths in OAL brings it to 2.181” long.

Whoopity-doo….still under AR15 magazine length.  Easy peasy!

It needs a shortened 9mm powder funnel. The Dillon recommendation does not work well. The D funnel is still too long so the die is barely threaded in and it's .357, so over expands the case. Mos-Tek modified mine and it works great.

My goal this weekend is to load say 20 to 50 of each and take them to an indoor range.  It will be 25 yards, but I’ll get to see if they run.

I’ll try to get this old Nikon scope zeroed in too.

EDIT:  I haven’t joined an outdoor range in Missouri….at least not yet.
