Will a british SA80 bayonet mount on a standard A2 birdcage?

IIRC it locks into one of the flash slots by a spring or latch. I don't know if it is just a flash slot or f it is a slot specifically for the bayonet. I also don't know if the flash slit is the same as on an A2. It would be cool as hell if if would work!

I guess the bayo latch engage the rear portion of the FH while at the front the FH slots matches the slots in the bayo handle This pic is from airsoft part but you should get the idea
