I finally got around to watching Banshee and I regret waiting so long. It is a highly entertaining show about a criminal who, after a freak incident, ends up assuming the identity of lawman and becomes a town sheriff. Also there was no wokeness that I noticed (though I wasn’t looking for it like some guys do). I was worried that when I saw Antony Starr all I was gonna see was Homelander (The Boys which had a good S1 and a shit S2), but considering Homelander always had the blonde hair with the costume it was surprisingly a nonissue.
And holy shit, was there some serious talent on that show. For me the hottest was EASILY the Native American chick. That woman was almost TOO attractive. Anyway, if you aren't offended by the occasional softcore porn scene you should definitely give it a try if you haven't already. Attached File Attached File Attached File |

Yea, great show. Prison scene I particularly remember as being insanely brutal.

Best series nobody ever watched.
the last season, different team with a lower budget sucked. Banshee is awesome. |
|
I was going to sign up using Lucas Hood as my screen name, but someone else here saw the show before I did.
Yes, the last season sucked with the new crew taking over. Ultimately, the ratings were going down and finally canceled. |

(Massive spoiler regarding a character's death) Click To View Spoiler I can't recall a tv show character's death hitting me harder than Siobhan's (female cop) did. I flew through S1, S2, and the first half of S3 in about a week. However, when they killed her off (and especially the way they did it) I had to take about a week off. Every time I was about to start it I found myself not wanting to because I knew it was going to pick up immediately after she was killed. |

Awesome show fo sho but it always bugged me that Antony Starr always looks like a he’s got dip in his lip.

Great show.
It's hard for me to believe the main character is Homelander on The Boys. I hate Homelander but loved Lucas. Just makes me believe he's a good actor. . |
|
It was a pretty good show. Agree on all counts.
Season 3 of the boys is pretty awesome. They must have listened to feedback from fans. It dropped the woke shit and seems to make fun of it. Homelander deserves awards for S3. |

Never watched Banshee but watched Strike Back for the first couple of seasons. That was AWESOME.
|
|
Great show and one of the first things I watched after getting HBO Max.

Nola was played by Odette Annable.
She also played Nicole on Two and Half men and was hot. Almost had a Jessica Alba hotness to her. |

During the final season of a drama (and especially for a shortened final season) you should be wrapping things up for the major characters. Not introducing a shit ton of new characters and new story lines that ultimately end up feeling like filler. Click To View Spoiler It felt like the majority of the last season was that stupid serial killer storyline and the skin head shit.

Good show. They filmed the last season in a town near where I live so I would go do and watch the filming. Pretty neat since there was so much action.

To come back after the Mt Everest sized shit pile that was S2 (even if you removed all the woke stuff it was still the worst S2 for a show that had a good S1 I've ever seen in my life) would be like a badly abused spouse going back to their abuser because they "promised" to not do it again. If you believe them, go back, and end up getting abused again... well... that's on you. |

Watched it when it was on originally and then binged it about 6 months ago with the new GF.
One of my favorite series too. |

Loved Banshee and Strike Back.
Stike Back may have the best finale I've seen. "We were never really that good." |
|
|
Two minor criticisms I have about the show:
1. Firearm accuracy fluctuates GREATLY depending on what the script needs. The same character that was rattling off high pressure 25+ yard head shots with a handgun suddenly can't get the broadside of a barn with an AR-15, full auto, etc. 2. The insane durability of the characters in fights. Especially the 120 pound female characters. The best example of this was the brawl b/w Anna and the Ukrainian henchman. For nearly an entire episode they were beating the hell out of each other and doing things that would put any human on earth in the ER 10 times over and yet they just kept on fighting. And then after these brutal fights the characters usually have just a few bruises and that's about it. |
|
Is there a proper ending for the series? I don't know if I want to jump into a series that never finishes.

I just finished this series a month or so ago. I thought it was awesome!
