For anyone thats interested, the 1 oz gold bars are available at Costco online again. At $1959 they're over spot but still way below the premium you'd find at any other online dealers. Plus if you have an Executive membership you get the 2% back, plus whatever credit card points you may have available. Both of those should bring it back down to at or below spot pricing.

New to this but will be buying a couple, wouldn't they be cheaper to produce not to have some shitty fucking picture mold? Why can't it just be a plain bar?

If the SHTF bigger than most people would ever think it could, 1OZ. of food would be worth more than that case of gold.

But this particular bar that Costco is selling is less than even the plainest 1 oz gold bar you can find at other online retailers. There's a lot of other factors that go into the premium pricing over spot. |

Quoted: Who would you eventually sell a gold bar to? View Quote That's a good question. Because will they give you spot price? I doubt it. How bad is the individual loss on a gold sale? I was pondering it - then looked at current Gold price. Buy low, sell high. IMHI, now's a good time to sell your commercial entities cargo container of Gold via Costco.... |

Quoted: That will easily get the gold below spot price. Bring the whole damn family and the gold bar is almost free. For all of you dip shits saying gold will be worthless when the shit hits the fan, yes it may be, but it's when things start to get back to normal is when the gold will make you rich.

View Quote I disagree. When I'm the new Lord of War after the complete fall of civilization, I will accept tribute in the form of 1 oz gold bars from Costco, cartons of Lucky Strikes, and wenches. Food, water, shelter and all that other shit takes care of itself once you've got the gold, smokes and Ho's. |

Quoted: The real value is the $1.50 hotdog with 2% cash back. View Quote 2% sucks b/c you have to wait a whole year to get it back. By the time you receive it it has already been devalued by brrrrrrrr! Sam's Club (which suck) has a better cash back offer (right at the register). The other real value at Costco is $4.99 rostiserrie chick'un. |

Last week SD bullion had 5oz of silver for spot plus shipping for new customers. Their choice of what you got.

Quoted: These will make some good stocking stuffers, thanks OP! View Quote Stocking stuffers? Can I come over to your house for Christmas? My stocking stuffers are usually a $15 gift card to Starbucks and one of those candy cane shaped packages of Snickers bars. Twix if I was extra good that year. |
