You tell us yourselves how there weren't nearly as many regulations and taxes, opening your businesses were far easier than they are today, or how you walked into a place, applied yourself and became management by 30. That's unfortunately the rule and not the exception/extreme. I know far more mid to late 20 somethings still living with their parents because degree debt and can't get into their respective fields due to lack of experience or else it's 25-35k per year and stuck there...

There's even 30 somethings I know living with their parents... No they didn't buy a place of their own and move mom and dad in with them... they literally make less than 500 a week... Big degree... but no job to support that degree debt...

I’m not a millennial, but I told my parents to do this.  I don’t want their money, their house, or their possessions.  Spend it all for all I care.  I don’t want the responsibility of cleaning out the house and dealing with all their crap when they die.  Also, I don’t need their money and frankly it irks me when they try to say one day I’ll appreciate them saving that money for me.  Right now, I earn more than they ever did, and my net worth is far beyond theirs.  I’d prefer they spend every last penny enjoying their time left on earth with experience and trips.

I'm leaving a few million to my only child(daughter). She is a really awesome 17-year old and I want her to live a life shielded from the insanity. She is not an entitled rich kid by any means. She is in fact, a true conservative that actually cares about humanity. I'll be leaving her everything in a trust. She deserves it.

Disclaimer: She actually has no idea how much money I have because 80% of it is in real estate and a few other things.

Unless the parents plan ahead, I already bet there will be a lot of disappointed people. Medial bills and retirement homes will eat up any savings real quick. Most people probably don’t even have a will, let alone knowing about a living trust, shielding assets etc. I am not counting on anything.

They made it on their own. More wealth is wasted through inheritance. Leaving children little or nothing is actually the right thing to do. Becoming rich via inheritance is similar to winning the lottery. Those finances will slip through their fingers because they can't comprehend what it takes to get there.
