Mine just happen to be Gen Zs, but they got a generous trust for their educations, the balance they can collect equal to their salaries until the turn 30 when the trusts terminate and liquidate to them. The vast majority of my estate goes to charities and schools.

LOL you boomers realize no one expects any of you to leave anything other than debt and socialism, right? Apparently Covid-19 will make boomers kick the bucket sooner rather than later, so they better go big! The only thing boomers posses are outdated houses in need of renovation filled with cheap Walmart shit. The funny part is the Boomer legacy is already set. "OK Boomer" is how a generation will be remembered and that is absolutely hilarious.

We wouldn't expect anything less from a generation which has taken so much and given so little. Boomers gonna boomer. View Quote I'm financially better off at 35 than my parents are at 66 retired. In fact, I was already better educated, invested, and had more assets than they did at 28, with zero help from them for it. I need nothing from them and expect nothing from them. I watch my father blow through wealth like a rapper at a strip club. It's his. I give zero fucks. However it is hilarious and ironic that someone who spent his entire life berating me to be responsible, while completely expounding a "do as I say, not as I do" way of living is doing exactly what he is doing. I straight up told them that unless it was a generational heirloom to leave to my kids I wasn't even remotely interested in it and that anything left would be doused in gas and set on fire. No one wants old disco records, a 50 year old never before renovated house, and a dust covered Harley. I already have trusts set up for my kids. As well as college funds. I also flew my parents to Hawaii all expenses paid for a week 3 years ago because it was the only thing on my mothers bucket list. Something my father hasn't fulfilled for her in 36 years of marriage, but he can afford season tickets to every major league franchise in a 100 mile radius for the last 15 years. He had the nerve to get angry at me for it. Believe that shit? But hey, you're right. It's the millennials that are the problem. *Jerk Off Emote* |

Do boomers section 8 and food stamps since they "paid in"? Thats the argument right, they paid in? A bunch of entitled snowflakes sucking off the gov tit bitching about socialism. lol I BeLiEvE iN sMaLL GuBmInt!!

Heck, my kids and grandkids will be well taken care of once the wife and I pass.
It’s certainly not from the lack of spending, but really we pretty much have everything we want. We weren’t well off when young so we never got into the habit of spending money just to do so. ETA... There sure are a lot of angry people from both sides of this argument in here, lots of bitter resentment that does nothing but show how unhappy some people are. |

Salty much?
"milennials blame their problems on everyone else." "my millennial kids never learnt a work ethic or marketable skills, this is somehow not my fault." |

We don’t expect to receive anything from you but the once greatest nation on earth crippled by trillions in debt, don’t worry we will clean up your mess. Don’t let the door hit you on the way out. Boomers are so delusional that don’t even know what a proper Millennial is. |

I think it's better to leave it to them as an inheritance, than to give it to them when they are younger.
Give them a chance to develop some maturity, plus money management and budgeting skills, before hitting them with winning the lottery like problems that come with free money. |

I don’t ask my dad for shit, but have asked him to spend all of his money and have fun before that fateful day comes.

Not a millennial but it's funny you think all Boomers have money to hand down. My parents have yet to retire and are already having financial difficulties. My Boomer Dad just can't stand having a boss so he hasn't worked in forever aside from flipping houses he lives in for years. View Quote |

Quoted: He was implying they had no savings outside of the check from the government not that he was attributing SS’s creation to boomers. But you knew that didn’t you? My boomer uncle told my dad 30 years ago he was just waiting for my grandfather to die to get his inheritance. Hasn’t worked a day in his life and his wife supports him. He’s a member of Mensa, why I don’t take this common brag around here very seriously. View Quote Let me clue you in, inheritance's still happen to this day. That is not a generation thing. Kids...Carefully consider your Boomer parents/grandparents behavior when choosing their end of life facility.

I’d like to learn where this “boomer” stuff started.
4chan? Reddit? Someone track it down. Repeating what everyone else is saying doesn’t make you wise or show that you are capable of original thoughts - it just proves that you have lemming like tendencies and are as much of a zombie as the leftist TV/popular culture programmed masses that you despise. The internet is as much a social programming device as the TV is, you know. |
