Most recently, when COVID-19 Omicron variants predominated, hospitalized flu and COVID-19 patients had similar levels of intensive care unit (ICU) admissions and use of supplemental oxygen, respiratory support, and invasive mechanical ventilation. Even the risk of death as an outcome became more similar across the two diseases, with the exception of among people 18 to 49 years, who continued to experience higher in-hospital deaths from COVID-19. This study underscores the fact that both diseases have the potential to be dangerous and that both warrant the compliance with CDC prevention and treatment recommendations."

Interesting that Covid remains more dangerous to the 18-to-49 crowd compared to flu, than to seniors.

I've noticed the only people I work with that call out sick for covid are also all vaccinated. Plus they all seem to call in a couple of times a year saying they have it. Us purebloods never seem to get it. Of course I think "I have covid" is just code for "I want the week off" nowadays.

The UK data showed lower death rates in the vaccinated compared to the unvaccinated.
What has been posted here cannot show if the vaccine works or not.
