After several months of combat training to prepare for her role as a zombie killer in Resident Evil, a new sci-fi movie based on the popular video game, the starlet has a newfound affinity for firearms and has become a regular at her local Los Angeles shooting range. "I love guns," she told us while signing autographs at Planet Hollywood in Times Square last week. "I just get such a sense of power. The karate and kickboxing was okay, but give me a gun and I can do serious damage." She doesn't have her own gun yet, but may get one soon: "A handgun, obviously -- I mean, the machine guns are a little heavy and complicated." I thought I saw quotes from the past where not only was she very liberal, but did not like conservatives, period. Hollywood liberal, Soviet childJovovich seems to be liberal, although she hasn’t endorsed any Democrats. She actively supports the legalization of gay rights by attending GLAAD (Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation) events3 and tweeting about her support of gay marriage: Gay marriage is not a moral issue, its a legal issue. Its abt filing joint taxes, buying property 2gether etc…gay ppl pay taxes remember!4 You can decide for yourself if you think her appearing on the cover of the marijuana advocacy magazine <em style="border: 0px; font-family: inherit; font-size: 15px; font-weight: inherit; margin: 0px; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">High Times[/span][span style='border: 0px; font-family: inherit; font-size: 10px; font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit; margin: 0px; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline; height: 0px; line-height: 1; ']5[/span] makes her sound any more liberal or not. And although she doesn’t have much to say about U.S. politicians, she attended the 80th birthday party of Mikhail Gorbachev and had some kind words to say. Her parents left their former home for political reasons,[span style='border: 0px; font-family: inherit; font-size: 10px; font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit; margin: 0px; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline; height: 0px; line-height: 1; ']6[/span] so Jovovich had personal stake in the reforms Gorbachev initiated in her home country. At a teary speech during the event, the actress said, When I left the. . . former Soviet Union in 1980, my family and I never expected to see our family and friends again. . . and it’s because of Mr. Gorbachev that we all were able to open our country and to come back and to have our people come to us and reunite with our family and friends.[span style='border: 0px; font-family: inherit; font-size: 10px; font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit; margin: 0px; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline; height: 0px; line-height: 1; ']7[/span] So she's a libertarian? |

Dude from 'Blues Traveler'. Believe it, a long time ago (in the 90's) a good buddy of mine did a lot of sound and concert work here in Buffalo, and knew John pretty good...when Blues Traveler used to come through, if they were going into Canada, John would store his guns at his house until they came back a few times.... He always had a few on the tour bus... |

Steven Tyler shopped at my LGS. He bought a few shotguns (Rizzini) and a G19 while on his way through town on tour one time.
Also, Michael Redd has a custom .50 DE. It matches the wheels on his Bentley... |

While they aren't really celebrities, at least a couple of today's pro bodybuilders are into guns. James "Flex" Lewis (current 212 Mr. O) has tweeted pictures from the range before, and in Generation Iron you can see Branch Warren's gun safe in the back ground.

(I'm shocked she came out, If I was even sort of famous there is no way I'd out myself on arfcom) Several of the guys from "Deadliest catch" are members, including the captain from the Time Bandit. (Confirmed, also an 87 reference during one episode, exception to my rule above, but those guys don't give a shit) Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton both have CCW permits and carry regularly. Sir-Mix-A-Lot has an impressive class 3 collection, and has been shooting with members here. Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt both have CCW licenses. Hollywood was a conservative place not long ago. I'm sure lots of gun owners among celebrities around there, but they probably don't talk about it much. |

Quoted: Since no one has mentioned Jon Schaffer yet: http://www.metal-rules.com/metalnews/wp-content/uploads/2010/07/jon1.jpg "And there's a lot of movement in United States to try to disarm the people. You know, tyrants always disarm the people. It's one of the reasons why we have guns in the US and it's hard for people that don't live there to understand that but it's a big part of the culture. The founding fathers put the second amendment there to defend themselves against the tyrannical government, not against somebody that might break in your house. I meant that's a nice little aside but that's not why we have guns. It's against the criminal government because these guys knew history. The people in the States have been manipulated and taken away what from what it really means to be Americans, you know? I mean it's not supposed to be an empire, it's supposed to be a land of peace and prosperity and freedom and guns actually help to stay free. " - Jon Schaffer View Quote |

"I have a very strict gun control policy: if there's a gun around, I want to be in control of it." - Clint Eastwood Same with DeNiro. ALSO...just because a celeb poses with a gun doesn't mean they are pro gun. A lot of celebs (heck a surprising number of women too) like to go to the gun range occasionally as it is 'naughty'. Surprisingly common part of bachelorette parties. Doesn't mean they don't back total gun bans for private citizens. Now, no to some GOOD. Penn and Teller are very pro gun. So is John Stossel Drew Carey too Eliza Dushku is pro gun and an active bow hunter There was another one I was going to post but it has slipped my mind.
