I just got a chance to watch that shit. That dumb bitch has no idea how close she was to getting that judge's foot up her ass.
ETA: The words she was looking for but could not find are, "Yes, your honor." |

Thought they were going to try all 4 officers together? What happened to that? Haven't been following this case due to work.

Will be really interesting to see if Chauvin testifies in the case for the other three.

Evidently the State has been playing " games " by submitting discovery in unsearchable and combined PDF files to the defense.

Also noticed that besides unintentionally making the defenses argument about not being distracted in her duties even if 20 people were yelling and threatening her, she also helped the defense when he asked her if an EMT was the most basic level of medical education for a first responder. She said something to the effect that "well, to my knowledge, cops don't have any real medical training." She meant it as a jab and to illustrate how much more competent she is in her duties than a cop. But she just testified that cops aren't there to provide medical assistance.
I would've loved to have had a camera view of the prosecution when that idiot was flapping her gums. |

He should also ask if a person having a heart attack and/or fentanyl overdose ever dies even despite having an EMT and/or marcus welby on-scene. He should ask her how she would be able to visually recognize a heart attack or an overdose. Finally, he should ask how she knew GF had an airway obstruction (he never did, and he never stopped moving air despite weight on neck or chest, because he had plenty of breath to keep talking). His problem wasnt moving air (which is the only thing that could have improved by the cop getting off his neck). His lungs were full of serous exudate fluid and he was basically drowning and the cops couldn’t do shit for him. It is called dying and it happens. |

If I was involved in an off duty situation and it ended up in a courtroom I would probably wear a suit and tie. |

You only wear the uniform if you were on duty when the event occurred.

Off duty heading to work, stopped at a store ... arrested 2 of 3 thugs trying to steal my car. One dude at the time had active armed robbery warrants. When I went to court on my time... my agency looked at it as off duty activity, didn’t allow me to be on clock. Unrelated to that... on a case had a pretrial conference with an assistant district attorney. She wanted to orchestrate everything including having me in uniform and gun belt and once on the stand she would ask me to stand up, take off my gun belt and hand it to the bailiff. I appeared in a suit and as in most cases it’s up to the judge on whether guns allowed in the court room. The bailiff will usually advise. The Asst DA saw me in the hallway and asked what where was my uniform... in a locker for the past ten years. In court she tried to do a modification of her theatre play and have me stand up and remove my gun... I looked at the judge, and he said that’s unnecessary, let’s move along, |

Quoted: Hopefully he asks her how EMTs are trained to restrain patients. View Quote If he asks that question he will sink the case. EMTs are trained to specifically not restraint patients in a prone position. Nor are they trained to put knees on patients backs. If she were a competent and knowledgeable EMT she would be able to launch into positional asphyxia definitions and how it occurs. Scope of practice for an EMT versus training for PD on restraining suspects are two different things for a reason. |
