Stood in backyard last week--21F.

I quit many years ago.

Would have to be in negative temps at Sheppard AFB during tech school.  The worst was the howling winds and blowing snow. Looking back at that makes me glad I quit.

When I was a smoker, the cold didn't bother me. Not even when I was up north.

Smoking in 100F+ is when I felt disgusted with it.

Michigan winter, don't know how cold exactly.  Been smoke free about eight months now, don't miss standing outside because of my addiction.  Now I can run around and not be out of breath.

I was using a parts wash station in college during Xmas break while rebuilding a lay down Honda Shadow I got cheap.  Friend worked at the bike shop and I got shop time.  I traded time for labor and they did A LOT of off road maintenance.

So I needed to walk outside after about 40 minutes of rinsing the worst parts ( I'm the FNG - shit duty).  Moron customer is smoking inside the shop, under the no smoking sign and he ashes on my left hand which goes up in flames.  I dove into a rain barrel then broke his jaw.  That night sat with ice on my burned left hand and ice on my sore right. I was lucky.

Been living in North Dakota my entire life. Smoked outside during some cold and windy shit.

I've gotta laugh at the people knocking smokers for for being desperate enough to stand out in the freezing cold to feed their habits, but it's perfectly fine to sit in a warm cozy bar all day? Cm'on man!

-45 or so, at pump station 3 Alyeska pipeline.  One of the reasons that contributed to my stopping.
ETA, I was wrong, it was a little bit colder up on a rig I was working as the daily weather report attests.

I'm not sure what it is with old people men and cigars...

Used to play chess with a friend in a smoke shop. There were always a group of ~ old men smoking it up and talking about the good ol' days.

Ain't like I bring a thermometer out with me.

They made my work smoke-free about 8 years ago but I still smoke inside because there's enough other smells and dust to cover it up for the most part. Been caught a time or two by supervisors who weren't interested in doing the discipline paperwork.

Don't judge, someday out of the blue you will be doing it too...
