Stood in backyard last week--21F.
Wife and MIL thought I was crazy. I don't smoke often and never in the house. |
-20. Cigarettes don't work right at that temp.
I quit many years ago. |

This thread illustrates why smokers are pathetic. Dedicated, but pathetic.

-20F, Minot, ND
-30F, Crested Butte CO F all that! That's why I moved back to FL! Though, I was in Minnesota last week, and went out in 7f for a smoke. |
Don't smoke but pooped outside at -30. There was also a breeze on my bum.
Would have to be in negative temps at Sheppard AFB during tech school. The worst was the howling winds and blowing snow. Looking back at that makes me glad I quit.
When I was a smoker, the cold didn't bother me. Not even when I was up north.
Smoking in 100F+ is when I felt disgusted with it. |
Michigan winter, don't know how cold exactly. Been smoke free about eight months now, don't miss standing outside because of my addiction. Now I can run around and not be out of breath.
Winnipeg in February. It was -5,967 degrees before the (substantial) wind chill.

I was using a parts wash station in college during Xmas break while rebuilding a lay down Honda Shadow I got cheap. Friend worked at the bike shop and I got shop time. I traded time for labor and they did A LOT of off road maintenance.
So I needed to walk outside after about 40 minutes of rinsing the worst parts ( I'm the FNG - shit duty). Moron customer is smoking inside the shop, under the no smoking sign and he ashes on my left hand which goes up in flames. I dove into a rain barrel then broke his jaw. That night sat with ice on my burned left hand and ice on my sore right. I was lucky. |

Been living in North Dakota my entire life. Smoked outside during some cold and windy shit.
I've gotta laugh at the people knocking smokers for for being desperate enough to stand out in the freezing cold to feed their habits, but it's perfectly fine to sit in a warm cozy bar all day? Cm'on man! |

Smoke break on the Tok to Dawson ride, 68 below zero...
Smoke breaks on the trap line several different trips at 60 below or colder...gotta be tough if you enjoy Ak in the winter.... |
Not me, but I watched smokers burn a few down in the middle of a blizzard in Korea.
smokers would smoke underwater if it were possible |
16 degrees and I don't smoke I just didn't want to stand by myself in the bar while all my friends were outside for 15 minutes.

Manas Kyrgyzstan. I don't know how cold it was but my balls didn't come back down for a week.
Smoking makes you stink. Sounds like a great reason to stand out in the subzero temps.

I haven't smoked sense the end of November, but the temp didn't matter....id go outside & smoke.
-20 or so
Same night I jumped in the lake drunk and woke up the next morning and it was frozen solid |
I bought a new smoker on black Friday.
It's too damn cold out. I'm waiting until spring before I throw some ribs in her. |
Minus forty something when I lived in Alaska. Cigs don't stay lit for shit when it's that cold.
-30 or so, Ubdina Croatia 2001. Coldest place I've ever been. Quit about 10 years ago.

Ain't like I bring a thermometer out with me.
They made my work smoke-free about 8 years ago but I still smoke inside because there's enough other smells and dust to cover it up for the most part. Been caught a time or two by supervisors who weren't interested in doing the discipline paperwork. |

I'm a 2-4 Cigars a month guy. I'm not sure what it is with old Used to play chess with a friend in a smoke shop. There were always a group of ~ old men smoking it up and talking about the good ol' days. Don't judge, someday out of the blue you will be doing it too... |
