Taylor is a guy from Brooklyn who has a shit ton of NY criminal charges for building "ghost guns" with 3D printed parts and gun parts he bought online. I think he's gotten some conservative press coverage because he's black, a nice guy and wasn't involved in criminality besides the (should be unconstitutional) gun crimes he committed. I haven't followed this as closely as I should have but I assume his lawyer has filed and lost motions to dismiss on 2a grounds. You can't argue those issues at trial (and fat chance at jury nullification on a gun case in NY) so I guess he's going to be convicted and hope for relief on appeal. He's in for a tough time of it as I doubt he'll have any luck on appeal short of the Supreme Court taking it. |

I seem to remember they, skipped the 2a stuff and were using civil rights violations.
Could be wrong been a few months since I saw or heard anything. They usex Ebay sales records to track him down though that I remember. |

They are going to bury that guy under the NYS prison.
Dont you need a permit to even touch a pistol in NY |
|
If he manages to appeal it up to the big courts and they tell NY to fuck of, they'll just do what they did last time and double down with a super package of new laws.

Whether something SHOULD be unconstitutionally ruled against or not doesn't change the fact the guy was an idiot for doing what he obviously knew to be illegal in his state.

I listened to an interview of him and his lawyer a week or so ago. He is well spoken and obviously an intelligent person. Very interesting how federal and state resources were used against him. I wish him the best.

With this logic, why do you even own AR's or mags over 10rds? Because a lot of the bans we've been seeing recently don't include grandfathering. |

The majority of Americans, as appearing to me @ 51%, are: amoral, liberal, communistic, hedonistic, sociopathic, egotistical fucking morons who I have no shared value with, and no compassion for. I am done caring for what they think or want, because that's where they are at for me - they want my way of life gone and erased for no reason other than "fuck you". I am also beyond caring about "reasonable" or "pragmatic". It seems that a "majority" of this country think that "reasonable, pragmatic" solutions to "gun violence" is lumping ME in with felonious psychopathic mass murderers (who are usually all of the above descriptors for "common Americans"). I disagree, and fortunately for me, the Constitution disagrees as well. I will not abide by banning common use rifles, suppressors, SBRs, body armor, night vision, IR lasers, DD's, ammo forts, on and on. I say, he had courage to do what he did. He risked it all for a right that is outlined in the framework of our country. I wish him the best of luck. |

You are not a legal expert on constitutionality and neither am I. Let the SC do its thing, and in the mean time we shouldn't be violating laws we think are unconstitutional because then you end up with people saying they are going to operate illegal abortion clinics because of that same "unconstitutional" bullshit. Both sides play that game, and both sides cry foul 24/7. But the country's laws have been slowly sliding to the favor of the 2A and we need to let it play out, because we know CW2.0 is nothing more than a Boogaloo wet dream and won't happen, and as such I see no good coming of it. At the end of the day infringing on rights is a gray area open to interpretation. Is not being allowed to own a new production MP5k infringing on your 2A? I see both sides. Infringing could mean absolutely no limitation at all. Anything goes. If that's the case then why the hell can't I vote on Wednesday? Or naked? Or at the location of my choosing? Why not with a crayon? Why the hell MUST it be on Tuesday, with clothes on, at a designated polling location, and I have to use their pens? Are they infringing on my right to vote? I don't see any serious weight given to that argument, and I think there is at least gray area as to what constitutes infringement, if none of those voting limitations constitute infringement in that context. |

The SC gives zero fucks about our rights, that's pretty evident by now, unless you're head has been in the sand. People like you are why we are at where we are at in this country. Words are cheap, disobedience is expensive. Disobey tyrants anyway. |

I wonder if Taylor plead out? I can't find any current info on this case. It could also have been adjourned.
