Yup. That gun, but mine doesn't have the checkering, and I still have it.

It pissed me off to no end because Dad would only let me shoot some dinky European CB caps in it that were made of copper, and every single shot they would get stuck in the chamber and I had to pry them out with my SAK.

I should sell it just cuz it still pisses me off so much.

Yes. H&R Topper single shot 20ga shotgun.  The pattern was hitting to the left.  My dad took it back and the shop bent the barrel the other direction.  Got my share of small game with it, used it for deer season too.  Used slugs that most folks called pumpkin balls back then.

What appeared to be a sawed off H&R single shot appeared briefly in the movie "Hell's Angels 69".

I do.  I'd been talking about sending it out to have it refinished and customized and I finally did in 2020.  It came back everything I'd hoped it would be and more.

Yes, Savage/Springfield model 120 single shot .22.  The same rifle that Carlos Hathcock started on as a boy. It has killed so many squirrels and rabbits.

Nope.

A (then) like-new M59/66A1. Bought it in 2003. I put several thousand rounds through it back when I had less responsibilities and you could get a case of 7.62x39 for $74. Sold it just over a year ago after going ~15-years without shooting it. Kind of regret it.

I think I only have two or three of my first dozen or so.

I sold my first DAISY BB gun. Really regret that.

I have since replaced it with one that’s as close to same as the one I originally owned.

I do still have my first .22 (Winchester 190) and my first 12 gauge (SEARS brand, which I think was made by SAVAGE).

My first handgun was a Mauser HsC. Cool-looking gun, but I couldn’t hit a damn thing with it. So traded it toward a Security-Six. I traded the Ruger toward a Remington 788 in 6mm. I traded the 788 toward a Browning A-Bolt in 30-06. I’m keeping the Browning. I’ve since acquired a couple Security-Sixes. I don’t really want another 788. Kinda would like another Mauser HsC.

Care to explain what looks likes like an Aimpoint mounted behind an Eotech?

I do not, it was given to my grandson on the day that he came home from the hospital following his birth. It is right where it belongs.
Was given to me at age 12 by my grandparent.
Ithica M-49,  single shot .22, made to look like a lever action .30-30.

Yup!  A S&W 629 I bought from a gun show back in the 80's when gun shows were actually cool and fun and had some deals.

This was the first gun that was given to me.  A single shot Ithaca 22.
I think I was 8 or 9 year old, so about 1967 ish....
Still have it.

This is old Damascus Twist 16 gauge single shot that was my Grandfathers.  He got it by trading to some some folks.
The first time I shot it was into a flock of Blackbirds on the ground.  I was about 7 or 8 and it Knocked me on my asszzzz.  My Grandmother cooked up the dozen or so little Blackbirds in a  real Blackbird pie.  Haven't had any Blackbird pie since.....

No, but same model.  Started off with an HK P30 V3.   Sold it about 7 years later for an HK P30 V1 because by then, I was fully into LEM triggers.

First gun I ever had and first I ever bought myself, I own both. First gun I ever had was a Remington 870 youth model in 20ga. Sold it a long time back when money was tight. About 8 years later, I was talking with the neighbor I sold it to and he said his son didn't really like it and was wanting to get a new guitar. Made an offer as soon as I heard that and bought it back. First one I bought myself was a colt 6920, and it still gets used every so often.

The first gun given to me I still have. Type 38 Arisaka I got when my Great Grandfather passed. The first gun I bought myself was a rock island 1911. I traded it and a shotgun a few months later for a Tantal and 2 spam cans of 7n6. I did buy another several years later but I do miss that first one.

Nope. First two handguns were stolen. After that I have sold and traded pretty much everything I had since over the past 2.5 decades. I don't really plan on selling my current firearms unless I decide I don't care for one of them.

Absolutely! I don't sell guns. Cheap ass Taurus 22lr. and the barrel pops up.  Not even sure what its called.

I went and shot it, and although I loved it as my first and only gun,  I also said I wanted something bigger for self defense.  So I bought a 2" snub nose 357...lol....I was learning the hard way I guess!

That's probably a PT-22.  That was kind of my first gun... I remember my dad buying it to teach me to shoot with when I was a kid.  Later on when I was a little older I was shooting it with a buddy and the damn thing came apart in my hand while I was shooting it.  Not like some catastrophic parts failure or anything, but something came loose and parts and springs went flying and I never found them.  We were going to send it back to Taurus, but I think it was going to cost about as much in shipping as the thing was worth, so my dad gave it to somebody at work.

So I don't have that gun anymore, but a few years ago I bought one exactly like it, just for the nostalgia.  I've never shot it.

The first gun I actually purchased myself was an M44 Nagant, and I do still have that.

Your first one is always special. Still got mine. Remington M597 in 22lr.

Funny story that i actually sold it locally many years ago. Then just by chance i saw it advertised for sale locally. I recognized that's my Remington, and was the same guy i sold it to. So i bought it back. Paid less money than i sold it for, and doesn't look like he shot it much. Now i am going to keep her with me until the day i die.

Like many here, i had a Ruger too. Ruger P90 in 45acp. It was my 2nd firearm overall and 1st handgun. It was a brick and i am glad i sold it and do not regret it one bit.
