Fuck no, I'm not Tom Selleck and I don't drive a Ferrari. There are too many other options clothing wise to wear one just for the sake of CC.

Dammmnnn.....there are some totally uptight fucking guys on Arfcom.

"Hell no I won't wear a Hawaiian shirt!! Nope, nope, nope! Somebody told me you can only wear them if you're a TV star who's actually IN Hawaii!!"

I'm guessing the same crowd that has issues with a guy wearing Camo BDU pants who isn't active military.

Aloha Shirts / Hawaii Shirts are another modern American immigrant creation.

Sort of interesting history IMO.

I bought a couple of low-key ones to "hide" my full-size CCW's a few years ago. They are so comfortable and
piss my wimmenfolk off so much ("Ugh, TACKY!!!!!") that I bought several more just to troll them.

Wearing one of those babies, I could be toting my 590 underneath and nobody would notice, they are so fixtated on the shirt.

Now my three-year-old Grandson has a couple, too.

I own and regularly wear a very nice collection of authentic Hawaiian aloha shirts.  (Many of them were actually purchased in ....... !)

Over the years I've had several strange women unexpectedly take ahold of one of my Hawaiian shirts and start to, more or less, undress me as they looked it over.  (Older women seem to think they have some sort of license to do things like this!)

I'm still waiting for one of these touchy-feely women to grope and feel her way over to one of the large 45 ACP pistols I carry.  When she suddenly blurts out, 'Oh, my!'  'What is that?'  I've got my reply already picked out.  (Stole it from Mae West!)

I've worn them to and from work every day since early spring, but not during work.  A real conversation starter with complete strangers (not that many in GD want to talk to anyone not already in the basement with orange fingers).  Hot girl at work the other day as I was leaving, "ew, I like your shirt".  Great cover, even if one wanted to carry OWB.

And I'm a fat old man who's bald that lives in Colorado.

Guilty as charged.

I have several shirts but don't wear them all that often. But I'll typically wear aviator sunglasses, faded Levi 501's and Chuck Taylor All Stars. Really through a people off as I typically wear more subdued and practical clothing.

Wow!  Reading this I see most folks only look at the Hawaiian shirts as being flora patterned.  There is some really nice non flora pattern shirts out there if you look.  I'd post an example but I don't want everyone getting what I got.

Only the ones sewn with the fabric inside-out that the locals wear.

Hell yeah, especially when I'm at the range.
I try to make sure that all those on the firing line can see me when I'm down line changing targets. Some folks have have no respect or idea as to what "CEASE FIRE" means.

I don't hate them, but I think of them as a huge sign that says "I'm carrying".  Also I assume the owner has good taste in 80s TV.

I wear them because fags and hipsters hate them. Usually with Real Tree Crocs and black low cut socks. I'm not even kidding. Im47 and too old to worry about what twenty something fembots think of my clothes.

Same here.  Pro tip, when in Hawaii, shop for them at the Goodwill stores,  you might find nice $$$ brands for $10-15 if you're lucky.
