Been married long enough that I gave up on getting laid long ago... The tackier the better.

I have a few that can cause sea-sickness in viewers.

What do you say we  down to John Wanamaker and pick us up a couple Tommy Bahama  shirts.

Not yet.

I think I am old enough for them (42) but I need to work on the beer belly a bit before they are appropriate for me.

ETA: I do like some of the subtle ones in greens and tans. Kind of like grey man camouflage.

My penultimate love has a couple of Spooners. He wears them to 4th of July family cookouts and things like that.  Of course, this is the guy who has nice oxford cloth buttondowns monogramed, white on white, with "KMA".  He cracks me up.

Your second to last last love wears Spooners. Ok. What does your last love wear?

I equate Hawaiian shirts to the usual old alcoholic lizards out here at the lake that wear them year round, sitting at the bars, wasting away their Margaritaville lives.

This guy get it...there are Aloha Shirts and then there are Aloha Shirts.
Reyn Spooner is the classic reverse print heavy broadcloth-last long-itchy mofos-separate wash with fabric softener
Kahala-another Classic. Important for the "higher level" pocket matched patterns. Full button fronts. Designed to be tucked in.
There are "lay flat" collar bowling shirt styles that are comfortable-tommy Bahamas etc. nice.
My go-to? Tori Richards, now there's an Aloha Shirt.

Tori Richards FTW.  I have 2 lay flat collar styles from Old Navy or The Gap??  their linen and not a bad shirt.

I own dozens.

Must be rayon.  Never silk.

Must have wood or coconut buttons.

Pattern must continue across the pocket.

Vertical patterns are awesome.

Absolutely no parrots allowed.

Hula girls, "Hawaiian Islands" and leis are bonus.

Quality brands:  Diamond Head Sportswear, Paradise Found, older Reyn Spooner.

Hideous, yet awesome...

I don't mind them, but I lack the requisite mustache and Detroit Tigers hat to properly pull one off.

So I vote pie.

But you also have to wear the short nut hugger shorts.

I have bunches and wear them all the time.

They really piss people off.

At a meeting with every administrator in my school district, with the men in suits, I was the guy in jeans and loud bright red and yellow patterned aloha shirt.

Any day I can annoy a large group of people at once is a good day.

What's wrong with that for lounging by the grill? It's not like you're golfing in them with Obama.
