the sheriff described conditions at the time as "pitch black." |

Sad... but that could also be about 18 less kids on welfare.Vehicle theft as a teen. Awesome.

Meh, not going to celebrate 15 YOs drowning. Kids do stupid shit. View Quote I don't think anybody is really celebrating, but you have to admit, they were doing something beyond stupid, besides endangering their own lives, but also the lives of the Police, First Responders and those that could have been injured or killed by the recklessness of the driver. Emergency Services cost a fortune, too. As I see it, there's three that society does not have to deal with again. |

I'm not celebrating.
That poor car. If the worthless shitbags had drowned after abandoning the vehicle on foot, it would have been the perfect crime. |

Looks like it's going to be up to GD to cure cancer. You guys go on, I'll catch up later....

Well, that's a shame. There were lots of future presidents, chemical engineers and rappers that'll no longer be part of the gene pool. "Officials say the pond is full of alligators. " #AlligatorLivesMatter Symmetry. All around us. This time, FL really did win. TC |

Surfs up, three less scumbags in the fsa. Good riddance, glad they won't be around to reproduce.

I'll bet there is a violation of police procedure in the chase, and there will be a lawsuit. Because of the Baskin-Robbins factors (the number of scoops of chocolate and vanilla on the jury) the department will pay handsomely.

Could have made a cool bog car a few thousand years from now.

I watched the news report tonight on channel 10 out of Tampa. They were extremely careful not to mention the girls names or their ethnicity.

I wasn't laughing until I watched the graphics on that news video of the car driving into the pond lol.

If "PSGWSP" ever happened it happened here. Playing tag/dare with deputies? That's a pretty stupid game. Dead in a pond full of gators? That's about the most stupid prize you could get other than dieing in a fire.

Gotta love self-solving problems.
Shame about the car, though. |

Investigators say as Marriott was on his way to take the girls to Child’s park when he decided to stop at a Walmart in south St. Pete to buy a TV. He left the girls in the car; with the car running. sad story ... 3 black teen chicks (15,15,16 y/o) with multiple priors for burglary/car theft took off with someone's (a friend of a friend) car left running at walmart and drive it into a pond while running away from the popo all morning, 15 feet deep. Dive team couldn't help in murky water. Sheriff says they would still be alive if they'd had tougher sentences for their priors, and something needs to be done other than what law enforcement is doing. There's nothing sad about this story. |

Early teen death= not enough time for them to pop out more than 3 kids each= less wards of the state left for taxpayers to raise= winning
ETA: Thanks obama... |

Waiting for the lawsuits.
Sad thing is they will win millions. |

For some reason this story reminded me of the Benny Hill theme song.

I liked the part about a friend of a friend who just decided to give these wayward girls a ride - for free. But then on the way to the child's park, all of the sudden decided he needed a new TV from WalMart. And, of course, the right thing to do seemed to be leaving these people you barely know in your car with the engine running. Riiiiiiggggggghhhhhhhttttttttt...............
