I order it hot....I generally specify Indian hot not white folk hot, Im obviously not a Indian.  The result is 50/50  they either serve me  something with no heat thinking im confused or they decide to teach me a lesson and pour it in. Generally I'm happy with the extra hot but about 1 in 10 the first bite tastes like regret and I have to Play cool while my guts smolder.

Always order Indian hot, rarely ever hot. It makes me sad.

hahah... I am white as they come but used to travel for work. I developed my pallet for Indian and Thai - the hotter the better. I have to have one of my brown buddies with me when I go to Indian places in the states - I tell them India hot and seldom does it come out spicy. When they do kick up the heat, they usually give me a nod on the way out

Did I mention I miss traveling? Ive been going to the local indian grocery store, buying the spices and making it myself... except for the mango pickle. That stuff is like crack! I can go through a jar a day :)

I refuse to eat Indian unless it is a buffet.  It must pass a sniff and poke test before I eat it.  The descriptions on the menu are usually a huge fail IME.  I do like Indian food a lot.

Lamb vindaloo is my go to.  I order most everything a “3” out of 5.  Last time that shit was about a 10.  It was inedible.  I gave it the old college try however and paid for it the next day.

Not a fan, there is an Indian restaurant 6 blocks from Casa Del Otto.
6 chances I gave them.

It's pretty damn tasty. It gets a bad rap because of the reputation for filthy hygiene habits, but the basic concepts are there for delicious cuisine.

I love Indian food.

I usually put naan on the plate and scoop stuff on stop (like a pizza), then knife/fork it.

So good.  Really cleans out the pipes if you order right.

I bribe the servers for the tandoori legs since they either don't put them on the buffet or go very fast. Tikka is a close second favorite. This place also has kheer with birfan burfee dessert. I'm sure I butchered the spelling but it's cream sugar and rice and amazing.

No.  The sickest I've ever been was from eating Indian food in Portsmouth, England.

Looks like cat food

But I did make friends with some dudes on the Jalashwa (ex LPD-14) and that chow was pretty good.

Veggie pakoras and onion bahjis with mint and coriander chutney are awesome. I make saag paneer frequently using feta,as my favorite way to use up spinach that has survived 2 days in the fridge but won’t make it 3.

The complexity of flavor Indian food is just fantastic, one of my favorites.
