I'm already in the buying process on 100acres in Tennessee. We just have to wait for my daughter to graduate high school before we move.  Gives us some time to have a house built.

Keep me in the loop, I have been telling my wife we are outta here asap. My job is what keeps us for now,  but we are actively pursuing other options for income that might offer a little bit more freedom.
I have been looking in Missouri,  Tennessee,  Virginia, Kentucky, anywhere but here!

I wish they would do away with the 3% cap in FL, get some of the riff raff out of some of the improving areas.

The WT who inherited their home from granny, etc.

I do, these are just my personal properties.

My businesses are extremely moveable. No skilled labor required other than the wife and I. We sell over the internet for our main business.  My motorcycle shop will be fine because nobody is opening new shops, our investment company will continue to invest in commercial real-estate.

I've heard this "children must graduate high school" thing before but am not grasping the concept.  Other states have high schools too.  I moved to a different country mid high school and seem to have survived, why is it so important that kids graduate where they currently are instead of switching schools?

Because sometimes there's court orders in place keeping people places they don't want to be. Divorces happen yo.

My friend in NY fought his last increase and won so now his property taxes are only $14k a year for a 2,000 sq ft house on 1/6th of an acre.

Some people place priority of stability in their kids lives over moving to save a little money.

I have a 2000 sq. ft. house on 6.5 acres and 5 vehicles. Total property tax on everything is ~ $280 a year.

My friend has a pretty nice home in NJ.  On a lake.  About 3000 sq ft.  1/2 acre.

Pays $28,000 in property tax and that was 3 years ago.
