They usually just put up an "ad" that requires the suspect seek them out, they make the suspect suggest the acts, and they make the suspect confirm they "know" the fake victim is underage and they intend to engage in sexual acts, usually both before meeting and after meeting. It's not like they send a young-looking woman out to pick someone to start rubbing up on, stick her hand down his pants, then say "haha busted I was pretending to be a minor!" It's one thing if someone has a problem with it, knows they have a problem, and stays away from kids or asks for help to not offend in the first place. Sure they need to never be around children at all, but they probably know that too. But once someone offends or tries to offend, put them down. |

We had one many years ago that seemed odd and was overly critical of everyone else at work. I have no clue what happened to him, but he got convicted of diddling his nephews….
About the same time, we had a guy loose his mind and shoot everyone in the house, including himself. Nobody died and nobody would testify against him, so he got a short sentence for shooting the gun and that’s about it. I had to run him through remediation training every year - I guess his bad shooting came in handy….. |

If he was guilty, then that was the best possible outcome. I will say, as a youth coach and scout leader, I am very wary of the possibility of any accusations and even the insinuation of impropriety would ruin me and my life. I could easily see a falsely accused man seeing his life fall apart and look to end it rather than go forward with everyone thinking he is a child molester. If he did it, good riddance.
ETA - I didn't see the link, but it seems to be pretty clear he is guilty. I can only wish this is the outcome for anyone who would do any such thing to a child. (Any child and any adult. Attractive females do not get a pass.) |

I had a co-worker who was caught with child porn. It seems he had a server where he was trading or sharing that stuff. I was working close with him at the time, he was my team lead on a project.
I only found out what happened to him after he was gone and someone in the know told me to google his name. |
