Def-Con 4, 1985

Plot Summary: Two men and a woman circle the globe in a satellite armed with a nuclear device. The third world war breaks out, and a few months later the satellite crashes. They survive the crash but one man gets killed by survivors and the other man gets caught. The woman stays by the remains of the the satellite but is soon caught by evil punks who have taken power.

Yeah it was just as to watch as the description would lead you to believe.

The plot summary is a little inaccurate.  They are caught by military deserters and the son of a general who have fashioned a little shanty-town kingdom in the Atlantic seaboard wasteland.  The satellite doesn't crash, but is brought done intentionally because the satellite has information on end of the world survival caches that survived the war.  The son of the general was fleeing along with some other high value civvies and military when the helicopter(s) they were in crashed.

It's been a long time since I watched it, but my memories from watching it as a kid were that it was better than the synopsis and the review would have you believe.

How could I forget this one:

Another Rowdy Roddy Piper movie.

In a post-nuclear war landscape where the human race is bordering on extinction, ex-con Sam Hell (Piper) happens to be one of the last few fertile men on the planet. He is captured by a group of women who happen to be the closest thing resembling a government and is sent on a mission to rescue a group of fertile ladies from a gang of mutant frogs.

Fred Ward, who later played Earl Bassett in Tremors & Tremors 2: Aftershocks and Remo Williams in the eponymous film, played Lyle Swann, who was a dirt-bike racer who accidentally rode into a time-travel experiment & got zapped back to the old west, where he knocked up his own grandmother.

Am I alone in my disbelief that this didn't get a sequel?

Yeah I haven't seen it since it was on HBO in the '80s, so I just went with what IMDB had to say about what it was about. It was a messed up movie.

And a couple more:

Raise the Titanic (which I actually thought was pretty awesome as a kid) and Cobra (which I didn't)

Oh and The Keep was awesome, still is awesome and has an awesome soundtrack. It's all awesome. The rest of the books being made movies would be even more awesome.
