In his videos he is often running around in nothing but a t-shirt and socks, talking about having crushes on boys and sleepovers. With small underdeveloped breasts, talking like a young girl, acting like a young girl. Talking about periods while he holds a box of tampons.

I got in last night and stopped by a Safeway north of San Jose to get some groceries. Middle class Hispanic neighborhood. I went for a pack of Guinness and I was surprised to see that the Bud products had been pulled from the shelves.

Went drinking at a social event on Saturday and the Bud Light/tranny jokes were relentless.

It might become old eventually but a guy isn’t going to order a Bud Light around other guys for a while.

I don’t drink bud light because it was never a good beer and I’ve largely given up beer. That they put a trans person on the can doesn’t change my opinion.

To be fair, if you are selling Bud Light to people who like to drink beer, that's already a steep climb. Why not just go for the tranny market instead?  Small; but fiercely loyal!

Besides even all that, at a more basic level this was Bud Light saying "Here is who we identify our core market as, biological men that want to act like women".  I'm not trans so I don't associate with that identity.  Why would I buy a product that I can't identify with?  That is basic marketing 101.  It would be no different than if Bud Light ran commercials with all women talking about how stupid men were.  If they want to abandon their core base and identify a new market they want to go after, then so be it.  They shouldn't be pissed when I switch to another brand that I identify with more.  

That is why this movement has picked up steam, it is not because people are extremely triggered by the thought of a trans person but because a company they were loyal to pulled the rug out from under them and changed their brand identity to something they simply don't associate with.  Another beer company could start running commercials on how the accept everyone and still have room for men who like to be men and they would start to steal market share.

A small percentage of people vowing to never shop there again because they stopped selling a very tiny product line is a lot different than a brand completely alienating their loyal customer base in order to target a very small portion of a different customer base.  

The equivalent action with Dicks would have been them putting an AR15 sticker on every product the soccer mom's bought for their kids, while mocking soccer mom's in their commercials, while having bubba's running around the stores carrying AR15s.  Would that approach have caused the soccer mom's to abandon the store?  Definitely.

You have to ridicule your acquaintances that drink Bud from now on. Ridicule is powerful.

I've been ridiculing people drinking Bud Light for decades to no effect, so maybe not that powerful.  It's a "low-cal" mass market pilsner designed to do two/three things: (1) deliver less calories per 12oz can and (2) be palatable to the median consumer at a good price point.

For like a $3/dozen upgrade, you can 100% drink beer you enjoy drinking.
