Looks rather unwieldy with that 20 rd mag, and it's still a pump
|
|
That's only 680 pellets of 4 buck per 20 round magazine.
Mediocre. Aside: If you don't know the mediocre reference Mad Max: Fury Road - Witness me scene |
|
considering that the thing is mag fed, why is the magazine tube so long?
What am I missing, the thing still usable as tube feed? |

didnt remington already do that?
they also claimed to revolutionize the shotgun with it... |
|
|

How does the tubular magazine work in conjunction with the magazine?
Is it simply blocked off while the mag is inserted? Will it feed shells through the top of an empty mag and into the chamber once the mag runs empty? |
|

Needs moar 20" barrel that comes back bored with lengthened forcing cone and fixed IC choke, bayonet lug, and adaptable so you can use the mag tube by dropping the box mag.
29 shells in the gun, bayonet, very respectable patterns with most any load... Sell it for <$1000msrp, and have the mags <$30msrp. Maybe even a fully rifled slug barrel available?!? 29 Magnum sabot slugs hahahaha! |

I'm pretty much gonna have to own one, I want the tri rail, hope the rails are removable
yes, please, now a 20 ga shockwave, for maximum compactness, I will by one of these for considering this. |

You need at least an 8 round mag to match a normal magazine tube's capacity. Beyond that you're looking at a ridiculously large magazine, and it's still just a pump. I'd put up with a 20-round double stack box mag if it were in a semiautomatic. |

You know what that 150 year old, streamlined shotgun design really needs? A huge box mag hanging off the perpendicular!!
I love the 500/590 series shotguns, but this thing is stupid. |

The only thing GD is more obsessed with than shotguns is trannies.

View Quote So, no, they didn't "already did this" |

It does different things and consequently developed differently. I can see some utility in box magazines primarily for people who don't know how to use shotguns since it reduces the number of manipulations you have to learn...but aside from that I don't see much utility. |

That thing is gonna be heavy as hell with 20 rounds hanging off the bottom of it.
|
|
It's about time someone made some rimless shotgun rounds. I know they'd be more expensive but the reliability for my street sweeper would be worth it!

Looks like someone from Remington's R&D department got let go without signing a Non Disclosure. And got hired by Mossberg.

They need to build a mag fed shotgun from the ground up
Not retrofit a tube shotgun for a mag |
