That would have been ridiculous if that puck would've gone in off the skate....

The unity of all fans to come together to dunk on the leafs just warms my heart....

OK… that Makeme Laughs team is s t a c k e d with talent. That is not a first round exit talent level team. Time to blow it up, build something new.
The Bs are good, and a good defensive team can play havoc with a far more talented team if they work hard enough, but the Leafs have a great team on paper, and they just don’t get it done. Year after year. Props to Pasta, that was a sick shift that lead to the goal. Zipping in on the right side completely unnoticed, the D man doing the dump-in/puck bounce knowing the boards in his home rink, just perfect. Canes/Rags tomorrow. Who you got? |

ECHL Adirondack thunder game last night. Was a pretty good game until the 3rd when Norfolk blew it open. Likely the last home game this season since they're down 0-2 and now heading to Norfolk for 3 games. We haven't had any type of cup here since the 90s when Redwings won their last of 4 Calder cups. Back to NHL:, got home just in time to see leafs get the first goal, and then blow it. I might be the only one in this thread who hates Boston more than the leafs. Let's go Florida. |

Wow, apparently the Laffs have never won a game in June.* It's only them, the Wild, CBJ, Phoenix (RIP), and Seattle.
LOLeafs *The 1966-67 season was the last one before the expansion. The Finals were over by the first week in May. |

I root for the Leafs by default , hoping they'd win so the nephew can get a taste of and be around playoff hockey at the NHL level , he'll get a few weeks off then start working out up in Boston getting ready for training camp .

View Quote I used to follow and go to the games of the then Hampton Roads Admirals at the Norfolk Scope from '89-'94, minus Desert Shield/Storm. Brophy was a hell of a coach for them too. He'd five them hell after a bad loss and practice/punish the team in front of tbe home crowd. Wasn't afraid to go over the glass and beat a fan out of town either. |

Nothing would make me happier than seeing the Canes destroy the Rangers
|

As an old hockey coach of mine would say (if he was on the bench for Carolina):
“FIGURE IT THE FUCK OUT”!!!! |

This series is really a tough one for me. I was raised as a Ranger fan (my dad was a big NYR fan), but have lived in NC and followed the ‘Canes since they were an expansion team playing in Greensboro, NC in 1997.
Gun to my head? Let’s go ‘Canes! (That hurt my soul). |

Would prefer to see the Canes win this series but the Rangers seem like they are on a different level this year.
If they can keep playing at this level, they look like a juggernaut similar to GK last year. |

Up until the final game or two, both teams were neck and neck for the President’s Trophy. NYR was outstanding this year, but saying that they are on a “different level” as compared to a team like CAR is inaccurate. (Note: I follow both CAR & NYR, as mentioned in an earlier post within this thread). |

It is early and I could easily be completely wrong. |

Quoted: Biz is a provincial meathead. A Sportsnet Canada reject View Quote He can be an absolute dope at times, but the dude is still a beauty. He managed to stay in the league for SIGNIFICANTLY longer than he should have (he should be kissing the feet of Doan & Jovo, too), because he was both an ELITE “glue” guy and an ELITE grocery stick on the bench. His teammates absolutely loved being around him. Combine that with the immense following he gained thanks to his original Twitter account popularity (“BizNasty2Point0”), and Biz went from barely being a “JAG” NHLer to becoming an immensely successful on Radio/TV/Podcast personality. Gotta admire the hustle. |

Was just thinking how even this game is and Vegas seemed to have a slight edge overall...
Bam! Dallas scores after a Vegas turnover. |
|
Ooof... some questionable penalties tonight in both games.
No way that was a trip by Oettinger. |

Great start for the Rangers. Stars are going to have to step up. This is going to be a close series.

Great series! Congrats Dallas!
I freaking missed the GWG cause I was making dinner. |

One of the best series I’ve watched in a long time. Felt like a Stanley Cup Final.
